I've had plenty of nightmares where I was gonna die, but right before it happened, i woke up, every time.. I once had a dream where I was already dead, and I was in heaven....But I've never dreamed the actual dying part. Is it impossible to dream your own death? if so, why?

Such silliness. Of course, you can dream anything and people do have dreams of dying.
How would anyone know what someone dreamed if they died in their sleep? This is one of the many myths about dreaming.

Some people believe that your body on earth is the vessel in which the soul reside. That in a dream, you soul wanders in the near death realm. Pleasant places such as described to be heavenly, the spirit wants to linger. nightmares such as pending death causes the spirit to seek shelter back in the vessel.

Not true actually. I had the experience. Dreamt I was dying, losing my breath, felt myself painfully slipping out of my body from the top of my head, then in a second I was afloat looking down at my own body.

I was told that you cant dream your death because if you died in your sleep it would put your body in shock and you would actually die.

yes it is possible, if you ever have dreams that you are falling lower and lower it repressents the pulse and bloodpressure dropping as you fall...but you'd only feel the sensation u'd never remember it unless you didnt actually die.

supposedly, the shock of your own death would be enough to kill you for real. Also you don't know what it feels like to die and don't have any similar experiences that can transfer.

I've been close once. I was watching through the eyes of someone else and watched myself being killed.
