"For it is appointed to a man once to die...". We all have a day when this present life will end. Some people are born and die the same day...like one of my nephews. Some people die on a relative's birthday, or on their own anniversary. Some die on other holidays or special days in the lives of their loved ones. When it is your time to go, when your time is up on this earth, you will be called from your earthly body...regardless of the date or time. What is special is remembering the good things about the person who passed away, and sharing that with those who loved them as well. Although I love and miss my dad and my husband terribly, I can still laugh at the things they did, and the stories they told. Sharing those with friends and family keep our deceased loved ones close in our hearts and minds, as it should be.

People die every day of the year! Inevitably somebody's going to die on New Year's Day. Like some people will die on Christmas, or their birthdays, etc etc.

People die every day of the week, month and year. Death doesn't take a holiday.

If i understood the answer to that question i would have more peace about my niece dying on 01/01/07. But since i don't know why, i find joy in the lives of my family members that are still alive. Be thankful that whoever died in your life is gone away from the cares of this world and suffers no longer. Be Strong.

Can you think of a better day to die? It would suck to die on just about every day.

It's just an arbitrary day that we celebrate the new year. Just a number. There's nothing special about New Year's day, Cristmas, or your birthday. They're just numbers.

Why not ? Death knows no time line. It comes like a thief in the night on any day. ARE YOU READY ??

Unfortunately, unless its suicide, you can not decide when you die. My grandfather died on his 54 wedding anniversary with my grandma. It stinks, but death doesn't wait for anything.
