Few examples...When I'm walking down the street or just walking in a store I feel like everyone is looking at me and it makes me feel really uncomfortable. I also never answer my phone or call people because i'm scared I won't have anything to say or I'll say the wrong thing, I also dont want anyone to call and ask to hang out because I just like to be alone sometimes and I wouldnt know what to tell them. I also get very nervous when I go somewhere to hang out with someone i hardly know. I dont know if this is normal but I hate feeling like this. What can I do to help myself?

Recently, I've been feeling like life is boring and unexciting. I've found the things that used to entertain me no longer appeal to me. I find myself constantly wondering about different circumstances and situations that I feel I have no control over. I also find it difficult making friends and meeting new people now that I'm a married father of three. HAs anyone else been in this situation? What did you do?

I've always had a mentor in life, of various sorts. Be it a BF of my mother, or a friend of the family, or personal friend. It seems I always seek out, or find a friend who is very capable as a mentor.

I've talked to other people, and have gathered, to some degree, that this is not a overly-common life route.

Why? Or why not?

Since I graguated from college last year, all I do is work 9-5, get home and go to sleep and do the same the next day. I feel like I don't have the motivation or the drive to do anything anymore in life. Is working at a job all there is to life?

I'm a 24 y/o, top 2-3% testing IQ range, lackluster life accomplishments, nothing to show, minor tics plagued social character.

So, to sum that up, I've had a scapegoat all my life (minor tics), and have had the potential on top of that to succeed. Yet I find myself continually stymied by a lack of drive, perhaps lack of character in certain aspects, and perhaps some sort of social phobia.

Anyway, whatever. I'm not overly concerned about it.. However, I am slated to join the Coast Guard in 3 months, and I am open to alternatives to that situation.

My car is a POS, I've little fluid financial freedom, and am either lazy or scared to work hard. I seek advice, input and constructive criticism..

Note: Work harder you lazy a*s is not considered as the forementioned constructive criticism, so save it. =D

Thanks!

Think that's true?

2007-01-03 06:37:17 · 12 answers · asked by Greg S 3

Is it? Because very often and out of nowhere I get a sense saying "you done this before remember" or if a thought comes up and I feel like I thought it before but I never really did and in dreams I feel like that actually happened to me once but I just can't remember the whole thing. Is it actually possible to remember small parts of the past life of one? This all happens to me very often and it's unpredictable when it happens, because out of nowhere it just happens...

Sometimes while I dream I have the lucidity to want to make decisions -- fly, for example. Except that when I try to fly or do something else I can't -- I am completely unable to control what's happening. Why?

1) Someone who smiles in you face, but doesn't really like you.
What word is there for this kind of person or what is the word for the behavior?

2) Someone who indirectly is offending you (on purpose).

All because they don't really like you, but they just don't want you to know it.

What are the words for either the behavior or the label of the person who exhibits the above?

To me it's a given. It's as simple as a child petiing or playing with a dog or cat, or best friends of any age spending all their free time together, having a million laughs. You love to play the guitar, so you play as ofetn as you can. You love someone or something, it's obvious. You show it because its what you feel. It comes naturally. Do you believe that there are really people who love without the ability to show it, as in a wife who "loves" her husband yet never initiates affection, never shows excitement at his presence, never smiles when they spend time together, etc.? In short, are they incapable of showing love or, if love is a verb, of loving altogether?
