You sound like my husband when he painted our neighbors house. By the time he finished, it was down-right ugly. I asked him why? He couldn't answer either.
I think the problem was that he didn't want to let them down in the beginning. But, once a project gets started...surprises always happen. There's always more work to be done than meets the eye. Now, he knows to add twice the time to complete any project. Also, to start slower (like a runner) and pace himself each day. (daily goals) It makes the process appear shorter, by breaking it up. ( Think like a runner...pacing yourself wins the race.) Hope this helps! Good luck to you!

it is a tight spot~there is not win situation when u have people problems and money problems, it just like renting you have to put up with them for the whole month and u only get paid one day out of it. i could do any job but i couldn't take the imbalance of my own potential either, the ups and down are very annoying, the hype that starts a job is awkward and the agony of the multiple things that were not for seen become a night mare and the customer could not care less. i had to take gas station speeders to get through the days the coffee just couldn't cut it. in the winter the going in and out can make you sleepy and i was using the 357 magnums to stay alert they worked for me

Try not to underestimate your work. If you cut costs it will hurt you in the long term.

Give realistic quotes that you know you can meet. Your good work will advertise itself.
