Did anyone have a dream like this?

one night i saw the trailer to Darkness Falls...i wasn't intimidated by the trailer at all but i had this horrible nightmare and i started to play out the movie and at the end of my dream she ended up getting me and she started choking me! litterally...i woke up and i was drenched in sweat i was only 13 so this was something i've never experienced...i woke up on my back, no one was in the room, i didnt have a necklace on, my arms were at my sideand im not much of a tumbler (i dont move around when i sleep). what im trying to ask is mostly abbout the suffocation part, has it happened to you while you were sleeping?

Yes! When you sleep, there are different cycles in which you are in deep sleep, this is when dreams begin. I still haven't found an acceptable answer as to why specific dreams happen, but you can actually be an active participant in your own dream in real life. That's why you can sometimes feel the fear, maybe wake up in a different part of your house, feel like falling, and even suffocation.

Oh, yes. If you have an extremely vivid dream, your body can start exhibiting physical signs in response to it. Just think of a dog who whimpers and "runs" while dream-chasing something. Humans are not that different and we can feel something similar. Sorry for the bad dream!!

No, I have a recurring dream that my teeth are falling out.

This says to dream that you are suffocating signifies that you are feeling smothered or oppressed by some situation/relationship.

Are you being oppressed??

dream means you may experience great difficulties when it comes to free self expression. you may have difficulties in expressing your fear, anger, love, or any other powerful emotion and you are literally choking on them in the dream. Choking in your dream suggests that you are having problems in communicating your thoughts, needs, and feelings.
