Recently, I've been feeling like life is boring and unexciting. I've found the things that used to entertain me no longer appeal to me. I find myself constantly wondering about different circumstances and situations that I feel I have no control over. I also find it difficult making friends and meeting new people now that I'm a married father of three. HAs anyone else been in this situation? What did you do?

I' m sorry you feel that way little man. I guess we all to a certain extent feel like that from time to time. Maybe you grew and got more mature. Maybe you need more self actualizing experiences? Are you in a position to go back to school? Join a club? Change jobs? Start going to Church if you don't? Undertake a new hobby, learn a new language, take a course in a community center, get involved in local politics, get involved in your children's PTA meetings, Are you in a union at work? become more active in that its very rewarding. Do you have lots of spare time? Volunteer at a youth center or nursing home. Work on yourself join a gym or weight loss center.
I hope I gave you some positive ideas or at least something to think about. Blessing for you take care and I hope you find the inspiration to get out of your rut.

Sounds like you are experiencing some depression issues. Depression isn't always about having suicidal feelings. Your description of how you are feeling is pretty classic symptoms of depression. It's nothing to be ashamed of or afraid of.

Talk with your doctor and maybe see a therapist. Sometimes depression is a result of pent up anger or resentment. Unresolved childhood issues that are resurfacing now that you have children. The list goes on, thats why it's best to seek therapy along with medical attention.

Don't let these feelings linger. Take care of yourself. If not for you, do it for your family.

Yes, I feel the same way you do. I have a 9-5 job that's extremely boring and not excites me. I sometimes think, maybe I should have a baby and it will change the way I feel. For now, I just try to find the little things to cheer me up. For example, I got a hamster yesterday.
