Social Science - 9 July 2007

So I am not the type to spend to much energy on analyzing my dreams until they happen, yet I had this weird dream..
Note: I never had mushy loving or sexual dreams "beleive it or not"...Yet I had this dreams of kissing this guy intensivley, this guy I have tried to forget him meaning I cut all ties with him including my friends that know him to move on. We didn't have a past relationship rather somewhat of a fling, YEAH, that's exactly why I wanted to get over him. He wasn't taking me serious and played with me feellings.. Could this mean I have just tried to hard to get over him or is this like some evil forces attacking me? Okay, that sounds weird but really..I always say dreams are your fears and fantasy's..But I want to beleive there just dreams that humans have, simple thoughts thru out the days of our life...

When I see a lady wearing high heels, I can't take my eyes off her legs. Especailly if she's wearing a skirt or dress! Does she want attention, or is she turning herself on? Or is she looking to get laid?

Interpretating dreams is not applying abstract definitions to vague or specific identities of a dream. It is a natural gift that takes some reasoning skills and alot of insight. You have to listen to what the other person is saying about the dream and what they are not saying.

I don't usually worry about all the things that all my friends do. I usually worry about things years and years from now. I worry that I won't ever accomplish all these ambitious goals that I have for myself. It's something that always torments me everyday. Many would say that I have plenty of time to worry about these things, yet I feel that I don't have enough time, and I want everything to happen for me NOW! I strive to be the best at my profession, though I don't even know what it actual is going to be. I want to achieve a position where I would have some kind of power and influence so that I may accomplish my aims at trying to improve the world. I wish all the time that I could meet someone my age with such ambitions as mine, yet my search has been fruitless. So I assume that this is not normal behavior for someone my age. Anyone have any guesses on what the problem is?

Isn't this phrase sexist and ageist?
"Men can't hit girls"
It really annoys me when people say this around me and when I tell them that they are being sexist they tell me "So do you want your husband hitting you" Firstly I don't want anyone hitting me, male or female and secondly domestic violence isn't always male hitting female it could be female hitting male.

Isn't it still sexist? Is there anyway we could get rid of this annoying saying and just put it "No-one should hit anyone"?

Boyfriend breaks up and says he needs Mental Clarity?
He broke up with me yesterday and then he said he needed some "mental clarity" and then he wanted to call me back in a couple of days. I dont think I need to answer the phone if he calls. I've received mixed responses on the same subject. So trying to see what people think. He knows I don't:
1. I'm NEVER friends with exes. (he knows that)
2. I'm NEVER friends with benefits with an ex

The quick background: my bf just broke up with me and then he mentioned that he wanted to call me in like a few days. He broke up with me for a variety of reasons but some of them were because of the drama our fights packed as well as other things he said. i said ok to be polite but im trying to figure out what would be the point as he knows i dont believe in friends with exes. So WHY would he want to call me? i havent decided yet if im gonna pick up if he does but im curious to get others opinions. Thanks! :)

In my Sociology class we were talkin about races and stuff and my professor said that Caucasian people have a distinct advantage in every aspect of their life in the United States. She is a Caucasian herself and she said "Especially in the dating world and the nightlife...they are the superior ones"

I couldn't exactly comprehend what she meant

Most of my classmates seemed to agree (about 23 outta 30 of us thru a show of hands by her statement)

IS that somewhat true? How??

All my female partners, all my friends partner, the general concencus is, in a relationship between a woman and a man:

Mans problems are mens problems.
Womans problems are "their" problems.

Females drain you of energy, with their constant need for reassurance and constant need of help! Even partners with good careers and self-confident allways need you to give emotional support. They say we are like kids with out footballs and video-games, but the emotional support needed to comfort a woman is more than you'd need for a child!

I dont want to give girls my problems to worry about. I just expect them to deal with it the same way I do!

If you ever say you dont want to hear them your dead. such is the inequality in a relationship!

I have had my rant!

whose brain actually thinks this way? Speaking is one thing but a keyboart is laid out to make it easy as possible to spell, so wouldnt it be counterproductive to type incorrectly. Also, it makes the user seem like an uneducated pud.

I see the X:34 all the time on the clock all the time. It started with 11:34, which upside down is "hell" and I would joke around and say it's some sign blah blah blah. But now it see it for every hour (1:34, 2:34, 10:34, etc.). It's not even that I'm trying to see that time but I just glance at the clock and there it is. It's not uncommon for it to happen 4-6 times a day. I am not really being serious about this and I know its just mental and stuff but I'm wondering if anyone has any crazy theories or has had that happen to them.

I had a dream that i was in a swimming pool trying to hide from someone i knew was coming after me...for what reason i dont know..anyways...i kept having to dive in and hold my breath for a long time...each time lasting up to 15 minutes...then i'd come up,t ake a breath and dive back in...struggling for the first couple of minutes, but after that holding my breath normally. The man after me finally sees me...and jumps in after me. Its like he's chasing me, and i'm scared, but know i will get away.
