If you love the cow and realize that you would like to be with that cow forever then you buy it. Milk or no milk. If you are really into cows then you know that having a cow is not all about the milk, cows have much more to offer; companionship, friendship, etc. There is more to life than free milk.

In either case getting the milk is up to another entity. You can't have milk unless someone or thing wants to give it to you. Sometimes cows refuse to let down milk it they are stressed or if they don't like you.
Since you like the word why..............................
Why associate a woman with an animal? What can we associate a man with?
(Let's see)
Why buy the carrots when you can go pull one up in the backyard!
Why is it always assumed that marriage is the choice of the man? I know plenty women who do not want to be bothered with marrying. They like the arrangement of casually dating or whatever. The day may be gone that women wait on the man to marry and pick them.

Rock stars don't. Rock stars get mad milk for free. If you buy the cow, you probably are not a rock star now and you very likely won't be one in the future. Hedge your bets at becoming a rock star, and keep getting that free milk, chieftain.

Because, studies show that you'll be getting a lot MORE milk when you buy the cow - and the milk will be nice and fresh, too, and won't cause you to need a quick run to the clinic....

Because some day, you're not going to be able to drink any milk at all, no matter how many cows are around. Then, why would the cow hang around, when there are greener pastures to be found?

Not all free milk is good milk. Watch yourself, you don't know what them other cows might be consuming.

because if you own the cow, you can be assured that the milk doesn't have that Bovine Growth Hormone added to it.

That stuff is pretty bad for you.

Im sure when u buy something you look for good quality, plus its yours, meaning its off the market. What kind of quality can you expect out of something that is free for everyone.
