Im just entering college, and will be majoring in Psychology. Ill declare a minor in Dance next semester. Im just wondering if anybody in this profession has any advice for me, or information about this as a career- its not as easy to get info on as things like engineering, lol.
Just kind of wondering if there are particular kinds of courses that would be beneficial that are besides the obvious dance and psych ones (like, Im temporarily signed up for Communications- that kind of thing). Also- how competitive are ADTA approved schools. It seems from their website that there are only 5 in the US that have particular programs for DT. Or, how difficult are alternative courses to accredidation by the ADTA? How long do you go to school, in all?
Also, what do you do in a normal work day or week? Is the pay liveable, especially after student debt? How are the hrs?
Haha- just a lot of questions, so if youve got the time, Id love to hear about your work! Anything youll share.
