I have a good matie who has just got his Hons degree after struggling against, poor health, family issues, fianancial dispair and serious loss of confidence. Only to be bombarded by jelous so called "mates" who graduated a few years earlier with lower classed degrees with one referring to his ascention to 1st class saying "I wouldnt employ anyone with a 1st class since it is a sign of being a total geek". Now the tables have turned and of us group of 4 the other two really bombard him to promote their own egos. What should he do? I say give the others the cycle with no seat to swivel on the rusty pole. What do you think?

I just think its interesting to see what people make out of things. So, here it is.
I'm wearing a white dress, and I walk into a beautiful white church. As I walk around I discover a spiraling straircase with red carpet that leads up and down. I choose to go down, but as I go down I notice the wooden walls start to rot, I run up but it seems as if the stairs won't end. Finally I close my eyes and when I open them I'm back at the top, but nothing was the same. There was no church organ, there weren't pews to sit in, just a long corridor with rotting floor boards. I run down the corridor, dress torn and aged, larvae seeping from underneath the rotting floor boards....then bam I'm awake.

I'm a very curious person, especially about this mind over matter thing, " like Crokodile Dundee " did to that bull, or whatever it was blocking the road by putting it to sleep. And all that Hypmosis Hype. And T.V shows about communicating with the dead. So what about Levetation, does it really exist in humanity. Can one use his or her mind to make objects move, slide, or whatever. Is any of this listed above even humanly possible? or has anyone ever experienced some act of these natures...if so how? and did you ever try it yourself?

intution. Completely ignoring logic and reason, just going with the flow of what your mind is telling you...couldn't you just say "god or the devil" has been telling me all along. so i persisted and this is where I ended up. With both figures being imprinted in our brains from such a young age, couldn't we feel justified to lead such a supposively reckless or wonderful life?

I apologize for my rape question that was asked in anger. My stats, incorrect and corrections LATER cited, didn't convince some and I respect that.
I'm glad that I got rhetoric going though. Even though I didn't agree with all, you made me think about what I was saying as well. And admittedly, the stats I quoted were OLD.

That being said, I want to ask - by just seeing the word RAPE; what does that mean to you? What can people like me do to help in preventative ways or educate that all men/women aren't out to do this?

What can I do to show others that saying this word isn't a joke and not be used to cover up for a mistake?

Another long one - sorry. But appreciate your input.

Person 1:Gah! The dog scratched my sunglasses!
Person 2:Hey! Those are my sunglasses, Ive been looking everywhere for those!
Person 1:Oh, well dad said I could have them because you have like 3 other pairs and he thought they were his anyways, I didnt know they were yours..
Person 2:They're mine, give me them, they're mine!
Person 1:Its just that my eyes are so sensitive to the sun-
Person 2:Give me them! Give me them! They are mine, I bought them!
Person 1:Here! Jeeze! I wasn't going to keep them or anything I was just explaining about it! I mean you take the dogs to the vet whenever they have the slightest problem, yet when your own sun has sensitive eyes, you take away the only pair I could use.
Person 2:What does taking the dogs to the vet have to do with me taking MY sunglasses!?!?!?!
Person 1:Well, I mean you seem to always take care of the dogs first and me second, and you were flipping out about getting the sunglasses back...
Person 2: *acting shocked* *staring mouth agape*

If I was talking, chatting with anybody, it's really hard for me to find a topic. So usually we just keep quiet and don't talk anything, except if the other ask me first.

Whenever I hear the song "Hello" by Neil Diamond I smell cigarette smoke. Yes, it's an old song, I know. It happens EVERY time and it's been like this for years.
Does anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

For the record, I don't smoke and no one I closely associate with smokes either. So it's not "real" cigarette smoke.
