You're right: It's entertainment. It's not real; it's like a dress rehearsal for the real deal. And the "real deal" being relationships in meat space; that is, face time with real people. Consider your cyber-relationships as warm-up for the real thing.

It's fine, as long as you never lose sight of the fact that you are merely entertaining yourself in a similar way that you would with a video game, and NEVER, EVER, give out any information that might allow this person, or people, to learn your true identity, or your location, place of employment, etc.

Either you need to get out of the house or someone kill me. There are whole relationships taking place online and people never touch each other. What kind of sick world is this? I'm moving to alberta where they don't even know what the internet is.
