i have never felt like i am 'at home' here in my area.

i travel a lot, and that's great.

but, i can't help but want to move away to Hawaii or London, or somewhere different.

i have family here, great friends, my home is fine, my husband is great and his job is good. and i don't want to move away from any of that. i'm just bored in this environment. i regret i never tried to live away before i was married and started my family, but not strongly (in other words, i am happy with my life as it is now and wouldn't change it given the choice).

but, i wonder why this vague feeling of restlessness doesn't go away?

i miss the 'newness' i feel when i travel with my family. I feel frustrated that i live here in a town where education, exercise (health), and etiquette are not high on the list of important to-dos (i live in louisiana).

any psych people out there wanna tackle that one?

Ok I had a really wierd dream the other night. I was shrunk and was only 2 inches tall. Everything was fine then suddenly a female picks me up and decides she is going to eat me in a sandwich so she puts me in a galss, goes to the cabinet, gets out two pieces of bread, goes to the fridge, gets out mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and mayonaise. She goes to the table with the ingredients and takes one piece of bread and puts mayo on it followed by some cheese, tomato, then some lettuce she then squirts some mustard onto the lettuce, reaches for me and places me on the mustard covered lettuce, then she takes the other slice of bread and puts mayo on it as well and places it on top of me. She then procedes to raise the sandwich to her lucious red lips and before my utter demise she licks her lips and then takes a bite of the sandwich with me with it. Then I woke up.

I'm not weird. Please don't be cruel to me I just would like a little insight on this weird and unusual dream.ThankYou

I was about 8 when i drowned... Luckily i came to after my dad's mate was luckily walking along. All i remember is the light and reflections on the surface of the water and me sinking. That image has been with me since then. Drowning is nasty...

Also when i was about 15 i woke up becuase i was really perspirating. I felt really ill, like sick. Then when i sat in the front room i grew very cold and was paralysed. I could only hear my pounding heart as it is put under pressure. All i remember was staring at my cat and praying that my heart does'nt stop beating for a good few hours.

I was woke up and did'nt know what happened until my brother noticed 2 red marks on my foot. It was a snake/spider bite...

The bloke upstairs had tarantulas and snakes. But my back garden was a forest. Either way i thought i was a gone'r.

I've looked, which makes me even more curious about it. Has anyone else had a dream like this? In it was only one word. The word "cebolla" was in big white block letters against a black background. It was just floating there, nothing else but this word. I thought the word sounded spanish, so I looked it up, and found out it is the spanish word for "onion". I thought this was kind of funny, I actually expected the word to be something more meaningful, considering I had a dream about it. But I don't even speak Spanish, and am not around any Spanish speaking people. I stay at home with my kids all day, and have done so for over a year now. I even had the correct spelling of the word in my dream! Does anyone know how this is possible, and what dreams consisting of only a word could mean? I'm just curious.

I had the most bizarre and somehow touching and realistic dream the over night.

In my dream I walk into a french bar in paris, I walk towards the bar and suddenly someone grabs my arm. I dont recognize the face for a moment then suddenly I feel this burning heart ache when I realize who it is. He smiles and says its been a long time, he's missed me and how've I been. It seems like we were never apart and all at once Im swept with despair and longing as the life we could have had flashes before me. He holds me close and I see our future together.

When I woke up I was in a panic, my heart beating, gasping, slighty sweaty. I had never felt anything so real before. The whole thing that a magical, fairytale feeling to it. Yet I was so sad and terrified.

I dont understand what this dream is supposed to mean? Is it really all just a dream? Is this guy someone from my past I skipped over or dumped? I dont recognize the face now, only in my dream. I cant recall his features either.

As compared to men, women have historically spent more time with their families, worked few hours, suffered less job related stress, enjoyed better health longer, AND lived longer.

But, that trend is changing, especially in countries where feminism has (largely) eliminated traditional gender roles.

Women are spending more time working, are more often in senior management positions, are under increased work related stress, and are thus spending less time with their families (can't be in two places at once).

Does this promote better health and well being for women (and men)?

Note the below findings from Sweden (the global leader in gender role androgeny).

i've been having it my whole life (13yrs)

it's really hard to explain, but i'll try.

i am nowhere. it's peaceful, when i start to hear things, i can never remember what.
the thing that's saying the things is constantly growing (figuratively) and i can't see him. it is a man, though. it doesn't have a voice, it's just male.
the sayings get gradually angrier, until they get terrifying.

sometimes there are other things, like a chicken, a shoot of a plant; a girl who looked like a japanese cartoon, with green hair. etc etc.

then the chicken, etc tries to reason with the voice, and it just gets angrier. (i dont know why, but i just know it's reasoning, even tho i cant remember what it says.) then the voice gets angrier and it goes on for hours, me getting terrified.

it seems to happen more when i'm tired; or sleeping in the car. if i'm completely smashed, like now, sometimes i get it when i'm awake, and i fall over, shivering and crying. hope u can help?

I think that people are inherently evil. Although I don't think good and evil are absolute values, we usually label people as good when they care about others and obey the laws of the land, and we usually label people as evil when they are selfish and malicious. But we have to be taught and socialized to be compassionate and law abiding. While our animalistic urges are inclined towards selfishness and agression. The urges predate and can overpower what we've socialized to be, so I think people are inherently evil.

Your thoughts?

I hate my life. I've made all the wrong choices and wasted my youth. I'm nearly 23 and have suffered from low self-esteem my entire life. I have no friends and live in an isolated area with my emotionally abusive mother. To top it off,i've got 20k in student debt because i'm from a poor background and didn't even spend it on drink, clubbing, clothes, travel etc. I didn't have the courage to go to uni far away and went to one near by and stayed there just to get away from my horrible situtuation. I struggled through uni and didn't go out. Come summer i just sat indoors. It didn't even occur to me that there was more to life. I graduated and spent 6 months indoors looking for work as i lacked experience. I just want to move away but the financial implications frighten me. I'm also not very savvy for my age, i've been ripped off and only ever seem to encounter cruel, nasty people. I thought uni would be the best years of my life. I feel so low. I don't even know what career i want. Help!

What makes people drawn to someone? There are two types of "popular" people. One who is popular becuase they are nice and everyone likes to be around them and one whos Snobby and everyone wants to be in for the ride but usually even their closest friends deep down dont like a negative person. Which one do you think is more common??? Just curious for your input

I am changing the way I think - turning from being a negative person to a positive thinker. I want great things in my life and would like to hear from others who have already experienced it.
