Well, I would get up and grab whatever the tide didn't take away. I would probable think of how lucky I was to have awakened before I drifted out in the ocean. I would be scared and thankful to be alive. Then I would think twice before heading to the beach by myself again.

Good question! You really thought this one out!!

I would try and look for some sort of land form and swim to it. What other option is there? If I just sit there, the tide will get worse, if I move, at least I'll have a chance of finding something to cling to.

First reaction: Freak out.

Second reaction: Hopefully move away before the high tide is released. If not make it, ooh boy. I don't how to swim, which stinks because it would have been helpful in this situation.

Third reaction: Kick myself when I'm a ghost.

How much beer did I drink that I didn't feel the water before this?

If the water is only to my chest, then I would calmly walk to the shore.

I'd pee my pants. Hey, could ya blame me? Besides, nobody would know, right? Then I'd get up, walk twenty feet toward shore and start over. I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom 'cause I just went.

I know this feeling it happened to me long ago in Benidorm.
It's quit frightening when you wake up as a red Lobster (burned of the sun) and you feel the water on your feed!

Soggy sandwiches too?.

Sorry I cannot contemplate this any more, its' just too much pathos and downright tragedy, almost as bad as East Enders. I'm going to look at my Steak and Kidney pie in the microwave.
