gambling is hard to break, I work in a casino. I see it everyday, so many people wasting their life away. There are people who brag about being there for 14 HOURS! They NEVER EVER WIN! ! !
Most casinos will ban you from going there, you have to ask them for help, dont be ashamed, people need to do it. What i do is spend my money on material things, (at least you have SOMETHING to show for your $$). Or invest most of your out of your paycheck through direct deposit, so you never see the $$, it will go directly in a investment account.. good luck

For the gambling, join Gamblers Anonymous. I don't know about worrying, but smoking is a hard habit to break. I quit 25 years ago when I had mono for six weeks and could hardly eat or drink, let alone smoke. Previously I smoked 2 - 2 1/2 packs a day for 10 -12 years. It was a year before I got over the urge to smoke, and it was easier after that. I never went back to it. Ask around about the patch and see if anyone has had any success.
Good luck!

If I could classify your problem all can be put into one word: addiction. Addiction is the ancient problem. The most well known group able to handle is alcohol anonymous with its 12 steps:

THE TWELVE STEPS
OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol ラ that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
