I've looked, which makes me even more curious about it. Has anyone else had a dream like this? In it was only one word. The word "cebolla" was in big white block letters against a black background. It was just floating there, nothing else but this word. I thought the word sounded spanish, so I looked it up, and found out it is the spanish word for "onion". I thought this was kind of funny, I actually expected the word to be something more meaningful, considering I had a dream about it. But I don't even speak Spanish, and am not around any Spanish speaking people. I stay at home with my kids all day, and have done so for over a year now. I even had the correct spelling of the word in my dream! Does anyone know how this is possible, and what dreams consisting of only a word could mean? I'm just curious.

No, I don't watch Oprah. That's interesting, though. I seriously don't think I have ever heard this word before. Like I said, I don't get out much, plus we don't have cable!!

Hi there
The purpose of dreams, as far as we understand them, is to process the vast amount of information that comes in through your senses each day whilst you're awake.
On this basis the "meaning" of your dreams is simply that you are making sense of information which previously didn't have a "meaning", for you, because it hadn't been processed so as to fit into your mental maps of the world (all your existing beliefs, ideas, values, etc.).
(The fact that you can only remember that one word does not mean that was the whole of the dream - just that's the only thing you remember of the dream.)
Given what seems to be going on, it's not really surprising that lots of things appear in your dreams that have nothing to do with what has been happening in your life just before the dream occurs. Things can appear in your dreams that have been part of your memories as far back as you started forming memories - or anytime in between then and now.
Nor do the things in your dreams have to be obviously related to each other. Like I said, dreaming is a process of finding/making meaning, and the brain can draw from anywhere in its huge store of memories in order to carry out that process.
So when, if ever, you happen to notice yourself having what seems like a weird dream in future you can literally rest assured that everything is OK. Your brain is actually doing, with great skill, one of the jobs it was designed to do.

desires will have high-quality which means and provide you perception or they may be able to be your unconscious letting know-how pass. Go to the library and get three books on dream interpretation and you're going to get three one-of-a-kind solutions. Try to suppose approximately the dream and notice if any of the main points are big on your lifestyles, and if they've any which means. I as soon as had a dream approximately signing a agreement to visit prime college for 12 extra years, that used to be frightening and it used to be in my Senior 12 months of prime college so it used to be a dream that pertained to my lifestyles.

In the bible, there's a story about a man who has a vision of a hand writing words on a wall. I wonder if this is similar.
You're the only one who can determine the significance of the word "onion". Maybe it's drawing attention to your life having more layers than you're currently experiencing? Maybe there's something you're supposed to be doing that you're avoiding, or just ignoring for convenience sake? It might not mean anything to you now, but keep your eyes open over the next few weeks and see if anything strikes you. It could just be a sign that something will seem insignificant but will truly be important.
Best of luck to you.

Sometimes we pick up random information that is floating by on the psychic highway. A name, a phrase, someone's thoughts. This word may show up again somewhere in waking life soon, I wouldn't be surprised at all. This has happened to me many times.

This sounds like some metaphysical clue that you are receiving, makes you feel like you do when you experience deja vu. Maybe it's a warning, like be careful in the produce market.

Might be a past life experience then. Maybe you were an Andalusian princess who's favorite meal was onion soup?
Adios :)
