I am 20 years old and I havent had anything close to a social life since high school. I haven't even had a girlfriend or anything. My only friend is my German shepherd dog. I'm not that bad looking and I think I'm pretty smart for my age. Why cant I figure this one out?

Suppose all the demand shifters are in their initial values (average household income is $50,000 per year, airfare from JFK to LHR is $500 round-trip, and the average room rate in Paris is $150 per night). If Air France were currently charging $1,000 roundtrip, its price elasticity of demand would be approximately ____.

People tend to say men are perverted (as compared to women of course) but what is the psychological reason for this, if their is any. I believe their is one but I want some answers from others first. Hopefully this question makes sense. If not, another way to ask it, is why are men so perverted? Serious answers please!

When I was younger, I was raped by someone close to me. I was too afraid to tell anyone because my family all loved him. I couldn't hurt my dad or my grandmother...as they were closest to him. It happened for several years...from the time I was 9 until 14. It would happen every summer whenever he'd come to visit (he lived in another state).
Well, a few weeks ago, my sister was visiting. We were talking, and she told me she knew about what happened to me. I was shocked. I'd never told anyone, and I certainly didn't want my little sister knowing about it. I asked her how she knew, and she said he had bragged to her about it and told her that if she told anyone he would hurt her. Thankfully, we haven't seen him in years, but ever since she told me that, I've been having nightmares. I keep dreaming about people hurting me and my family. It's driving me nuts. I don't know how to make it stop or what to do about it.

Ok. Well I met this guy through mutual friends. We seen each other before. When my friend told me he was interested in me, I couldn't put the face with the name. Anyway, my friend's fiance works with him. So her fiance gave her his number to give to me to call him. She sent it to me through email.

Anyway, we talk and I thought we were called. I have alot of respect for him because he never asked the infamous question, "Can I comeover tonight?". We basically had general conversations. I tried to go deeper but our conversations remained on the surface level. It was like he was trying not to offend which is cool. Well my friend's fiance had a b-day party 2 weeks ago and we met up there. We had a good time. So I thought everything was cool.

I'm not expecting to receive a call everyday but when I do get a call I atleast want to have a conversation for more than 5 mins. Well I got a call from him on last tuesday. Well that conversation lasted less the 5 mins. He basically told me that his job worked him hard that day and he was tired. He asked me what time did I get off. I told him at 6. Then it was a pause like he wanted to ask me to stop by after work. We ended the call. I called him on thursday and he answered the phone and said he'll call me back. He was at work and busy and thats the last I heard from him. I left a message for him today and I didn't receive a phone call.

I know I shouldn't be putting alot of stock into this but I'm just confused. Things seemed like they were going ok. Now I got a lot of unanswered what if questions like what if I bored him, what if he like women that gave it up off the bat, what if he's interested in someone else, what if he felt threatened by me? what if?

If all the above are true, then I'm glad that nothing happened between us. But I really like him and wanted to get to know him. I know there other fish in the sea but I pretty sure somebody at some point was at the place wondering why. So maybe he wanted me to be a booty call, but if that's true, wouldn't he asked by now?

Scott Peterson in 2002 killed his 7 months pregnant wife Laci and dumped her body in the bay, Mark Hacking killed his wife in 2004 after lying about being enrolled in medical school and now Stephen Grant confessed to killing his wife last month and kept her torso in the family garage.

All of these men were SEEMINGLY great husbands, successful and charming. Next thing you know they snapped and became cold blooded murderers. Their wives, family and in-laws never would have suspected that they could act in such a gruesome manner.

How does one know if their husband or inlaws could be the same way? What did these men have in common that could be seen as warning signs to others? According to the victims' family and friends they had great relationships, no problems.

After they confessed to murdering their wives these men did admit that they didn't have a conscience, but nobody is going to admit this to their family/wife. How can you tell if your wonderful husband could be capable ?

The growing concentration of wealth creates still more poverty. As some few get ever richer, more people fall deeper into destitution, finding it increasingly difficult to emerge from it. The same pattern holds throughout much of the world. For years now, as the wealth of the few has been growing, the number of poor has been increasing at a faster rate than the earth's population. A rising tide sinks many boats.

Im a massive fan of Louise L hay, I have read many of her primary books and has helped me in abundant ways, but!!! Sometimes i feel she cannot be perfect in everything she says, I believe everyones life life experience is different, and we cannot always get what we want, no matter how many times we affirm it in present tense, or learning to love ourselves, it is purely based on circumstance.

Does anybody have an opinions on her, positive or negative? I feel other peoples opinion is just as valid as hers!

this fear transfers or spreads in such a way that without separate conditioning he becomes afraid of many animals. If you take any one of these objects producing fear and uncondition, will fear of the other objects in the series disappear at the same time? That is, will the unconditioning spread without further training to other stimuli?"
Furthermore,
This case made it possible for the experiment to continue where Dr. Watson had left off. The first problem was that of "unconditioning" a fear response to an animal, and the second, that of determining whether unconditioning to one stimulus spreads without further training to other stimuli.

Does anyone know what this means? what does unconditioing and direct conditioning and stimuli mean?
