No, it is not wrong to talk to yourself. Many people talk to themselves out loud (if you ask my friends, I am notorious for it), because just like you said, they are trying to solve something, or otherwise "busy" with something. Sometimes, for some people (yup I confess I am guilty as sin of it), talking out loud to themselves like that is just something they do to help them organize their thoughts, so they can think things through better.

Talking to yourself is very good and perfectly normal. Sometimes you gotta ask yourself is it deliberate or spontaneous? In life you got to be your own best friend! The only person in the world can decide how to live it is you. and you are fortunate to be in a position where you are asking yourself what are the answers, how to deal with the situation etc etc
The fact this is scaring a little bit because you are not sure if you seek the approval of yourself or others. I started talking to myself ever since i was very young, and people tried to convince me i was not "normal" but i realized those are the same people who do exactly the same thing, but not in the public eye and some if not most don't realize they are doing it.
The reason why you are so concerned is because you are willing to learn something about yourself you are on the road to self discovery and thats a start quality you know!

Not at all! Talking to oneself or confirming information from internal to external is perfectly normal. Don't sweat it! However, if you are having actual conversations with yourself quite often that are angry, that is when you may want to question yourself. In your case, though, you have no problem at all. Infact, it's actually healthy and shows you are motivated and comfortable. ((Just make sure you don't do this whilst in the public eye!) =)

No, it's not terrible. It's normal. Also, it can be better than not talking to yourself at all. For example. Take two people who live identical lives. Most likely, the one who talks to themselves may be happier and lives a wonderful life, than the one who doesn't talk to themselves, and is antisocial, emo, and is miserable.

Not at all. Talking to yourself can actually help you solve problems at times. In therapy, people are told to use self talk to help calm themselves when they are experiencing anxiety, negative thoughts, etc.

There is a lot of difference between talking to yourself and thinking out loud.

Hope not as I do it too. Things aren't "bad" until they get in the way of you living your life.
