People tend to say men are perverted (as compared to women of course) but what is the psychological reason for this, if their is any. I believe their is one but I want some answers from others first. Hopefully this question makes sense. If not, another way to ask it, is why are men so perverted? Serious answers please!

To all you rude people who are making personal attacks to me for making this statement, id like to tell you that this question was made with an open mind and not only that, I am asking this because many people say that men are more perverted than women. I never thought of this before and it just got me thinking. So think before you speak.

I agree with you. When you consider the area of child molesters, men "win" hands down. If you consider homosexuality a perversion (which I do not as scientists can predict the frequency of occurrence thru genetics, meaning that it has always been about the same amount thru history, just hushed up) then that would appear to confirm your hypothesis as well.

It could be stress in the womb (a weak argument) but I think it's mainly caused by testosterone; some of it additionally by that "super-male" chrosmosome condition - the XXY.

But testosterone notwithstanding, I think that people who are perverts are born that way.

Maybe it's just what society has taught us. I think maybe that men are just able to express it and in a way get away with it more than women are. I think most women are just better at suppressing those perverted thoughts than a man. But that doesn't mean that the woman doesn't have those same perverse thoughts.

I think it is because it gives men a feeling of dominence over women.

Just think of why women become prostitutes.

It is only because men have such perverted "needs" and want to blame women
for providing men with disgusting behaviour they obviously seek.

Let's face it , without women, men could not exist.

That is a really unfair statement. What is your definition of perverted? In college I dated a few girls that had what even I perceived as weird sexual preferences although I wouldn't call them perverted. One girl I dated got off on smelling my sweaty clothes in my dorm room. Another girl I dated got off on the whole dominatrix thing where she would tie me up and tickle me. After college I met my wife and I can tell you from the day we met her libido is way, way stronger than mine is even to this day. Sounds like you have some issues in the area where sensuality is concerned.

Women may be into sexual things just as much as men are, they just don't TALK about them as much. I think if you listen more closely, women are opening up more and you will find that there will be a shift in this area soon too.

It's cultural. If a man has a lot of lovers, he's a stud. If a woman does, she's a sLlut. It's all from religion. Women are not supposed to enjoy sex from a lot of religions.

Women are also, society just conditions them to surpress their freaky nature.

You definately sound like a prude. Get over your religious beliefs and free your mind sexually.
