I assume you are talking about the opposite sex. Yes you can.
I can think of two good male friends I have had that were purely platonic, they have been great friendships. But it can only happen with certain people.

Here's the deal: No man can be "platonic" friends with anyone he finds attractive. He always will want to have sex.
You may think he doesn't. You may think you are really great friends. And you are really great friends. But he really wants it so bad and he can't tell you, cause you just want to be good friends.

Yes. I think you may have some now, in fact. Like my best friend since first grade and I always joke we love each other in a friendly, platonic way.
