Um...so this guy comes to my door, and it's like 13 degrees outside and I open it(dumb thing I know) and he's wearing a hoodie and everything and he's like "Um...can you deliver this adapter to the house right accross from you it's for (person's name) and he's not home right now and I can't wait outside for him to be home so can you just deliver it to him." I say yes of coarse, but I told him I don't know my neighbors really so he just pointed at the house and everything and gave me the adapter. Now my dad is a bit paranoid and I am too..so...did I do something stupid? Or should I have not answerd the door in the first place?

And if so, what are the effects? A related side note: I think that "nice guys" of today need to be a lot more careful and somewhat more aware of their shortcomings.

Alrighty, i'll get to the point. In U.S history we had this fake COLUMBUS trial, wiether if he discovered America or not, and if he was a horrible person. I, as a witness(I didn't choose) recieved a character profile thing yesterday with the information i'm suppose to remember and 'be into character.'

but I hate going infront of people. So as I went up there, I forgot everything. I felt so dumb...but that's besides the point...when my guy friend asked me a bunch of questions,(he was an attorney on my side against Columbus) I answered so badly, so wrong....he gave me the most dissapointed look I have ever saw. I felt my throat begin to dry up as I just couldn't believe how much I dissapointed him like that. I went back to my seat, upset, I felt tears flowing my eyes, no I didn't cry. but that image of his dissapointment just began to haunt me. I know people thought I was a sensitive fill in the blank idiotic girl. Why am I so upset like this?WHY!?

Im a very confrontational person, and have probably got into dozens of physical fights and countless aggressive verbal fights in my lifetime. I can honestly turn around and say i stand my ground and am not scared of anyone. however, just before i get into a fight be it physical or verbal, serious or not, I get this UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING which i try so hard to hide, it happens everytime-- i try to cover it up but i cant! i know 100% im not scared but it must really look like that to other people. a few times i have managed to ignore the feeling i get at the bottom of my stomach and tense my muscles so i dont shake that visibly but i wanna know what the hell it is and how do i get rid of it or control it. Am i scared but in denial? i doubt that because i get the feelin even when i know im gonna fight someone wayyyyyy weaker then me. please help.

Virginity for females (as everyone knows) is very simple and quick to be proved just because of their anatomy created via evolution.
What was the positive point of this for human race?

I read an article about this a few years ago. It was pitched as a way of overcoming fear (of crime, terrorism etc.) . I have a feeling it was in New York. Basically you secure their services and they would pick a random time to make a surprise attack on you. Possibly a bit like the film, "The Game" with Michael Douglas but on a much simpler scale. I'm just after some more information. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out why I'm not at the mall or having dinner with a friend or reading a good book right now. Instead, I'm here on Yahoo Q&A. I'm not even answering my phone. Hmmmmmm.
Why do you think that's so?? Why are YOU here? Just curious!

If it is true that our perceptions and cognitions are imperfect (as many studies in recall, perception, and memory demonstrate), how can cognitive psychology work (in other words, the type that claims that if you change your negative view of yourself by viewing yourself in a different, more positive light) if the very thing you are using to change your perspective is an imperfect mechanism to begin with.

any ideas or help apprecieted, thanks

note: i don't know if i've put this in the right category, but i think it's a social problem.

I think most people underestimate what they can achieve. I think you can become anything you want if you employ some lateral thinking.

I am continually having dreams about losing someone close (child, husband, friends). I always find them, but the dreams are creepy. In one, my child was taken by a stranger and we found her some days later. I woke up crying and shaking uncontrolably. Can anyone (preferably someone with medical background) tell me what is going on?

Do you think that the impossibility of a relationship makes it tragic or rather pathetic? Do you think nowadays people just prefer to just let someone go easier, just because there is more choice. Are we becoming a society of everything replaceable?

Okay, bare with me. So, the other night, I had a dream involving an ex-boyfriend of mine. It took place in what seemed like a school or something. There was an "elevator", and he was going to get into it, and as he was inside this "elevator", he asked me "Are you sure you don't want to go to NYC with me? I know you do." And as I was about to get into the elevator with him, I hesitated because it began to close, then I stepped back and let him go...after I walked away, I heard a really loud noise and everyone started screaming and they lifted some door up on the elevator and saw blood everywhere, it appeared to me that the "elevator" was also a woodchipper of some sort...and then I began to cry and scream, huddled in a corner, but I couldn't scream as loud as I was trying to, and I couldn't cry, and eventually I went mute and couldn't make any noise at all...

Now, what could this dream possibly be telling me?
