Im a very confrontational person, and have probably got into dozens of physical fights and countless aggressive verbal fights in my lifetime. I can honestly turn around and say i stand my ground and am not scared of anyone. however, just before i get into a fight be it physical or verbal, serious or not, I get this UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING which i try so hard to hide, it happens everytime-- i try to cover it up but i cant! i know 100% im not scared but it must really look like that to other people. a few times i have managed to ignore the feeling i get at the bottom of my stomach and tense my muscles so i dont shake that visibly but i wanna know what the hell it is and how do i get rid of it or control it. Am i scared but in denial? i doubt that because i get the feelin even when i know im gonna fight someone wayyyyyy weaker then me. please help.

Queen B, your body is shaking because that's how worked up you have allowed yourself to get. It's called the "Fight or Flight" Syndrome. Your adrenaline gets pumped up, your heart races, and you are doing damage to your body each time. Let me ask you- what the hell kind of life is it to fight all the time? Even your body's telling you to stop! Can't you just learn to love and respect yourself? This is probably a learned behavior, and what you need to do to stop it is to go to Counseling and work on your issues with a Professional. Than hopefully, you will stop hating all people and start caring about yourself and God. He will help you if you pray to him. I wish you Peace.

First, you need to put your fighting urges in neutral for a while. Someone once said, "The first man who raises his fists is the one who's run out of ideas."
Second, the reason for the shaking is because at the moment of confrontation, your body is being flooded with adrenaline which activates the muscles, but because you are not actually swinging at someone yet, the adrenaline causes the shakes.
And, if you get into fights with people WAYYYYY weaker than you, you are probably just a bully.
And, if you don't like my opinion, please don't bother emailing me with a confrontational message. After all, you are the one asking the question, and you have to be prepared for disagreement.

It's turbulence, such as an airplane has before it crashes. It's not very impressive that you're such a poor pilot. Do you understand this metaphor?

(The reason you fight is because it seemingly helps define who you are. That's just confusion and illusion.)

It's adrenaline sweetie, now calm down and reread zeebya's answer, but this time think about it before you go off, OK? Please try to do something about all that anger, it can cause serious physical damage.
