- It seems to be that countries in the Northern hemisphere are more developed.

- If you take a continent like Europe, northerners seem to have a more powerful economy.

- Inside a country, the more developed areas seem to usually be located in the North (like US, Spain, Italy, France, Germany... not England or Japan though)

Is that a coincidence???

I was reading a book about Gothic literature. It said that in contemporary society we identify with serial killers like Norman Bates in 'Psycho'. What do you think?

When we have Lucid Dreams we direct them etc. What about when we are dreaming normally? who/what directs them? it can't be us because we don't know that were dreaming.

When I was 16. The most rebellious things I did, was, I let my friends, write Metallica on my pencil case; I wrote "I love Brett Michaels" and stuck pictures on my school folder; I wrote "Poison" on my Maths text book, and worst of all I slouched in my school chair and tapped my pencil on the desk.

I know to some people those seem really lame, but you have to understand that those are the sort of things my parents did not want me doing.

What about you......What is the worst or most rebellious thing you did as a child / teen?

I will give 10 points to the most creative yet truthful story.

I actually asked this question using a better descriptive word but got sent a violation notice. I didn't realise it was such an offensive word. This site is American cencorship at its worse. Oh you're oh so righteous but you have your morals so wrong. I bet I could say murder, war, slavery etc and I won't get a notice, Take a good look at yourselves.

i can't focus.

in school i struggle to listen to the teachers. my mind keep floating everywhere and i can think of anything under the sun except things that is relevant or important to my studies. i take a very long time before i can start doing a piece of work. and i can't even stay focus while listening to a song/listening to my friends' conversations... i will always randomly be sinked into some dreamland i won't be able to realise it. but when i am in a very quiet environment with 0 disturbance and my heart seemed to be settled down ( this takes VERY long). i can slightly focus a bit better.

i also have occasional anxiety attacks and i feel excited all the time.

For those not familiar, one person hangs from the leg of another ,struggling to hang from the edge of the shaft, while the lift hurtles out of control toward them. Its not possible for the lower person to survive and only possible for the top person to survive if he kicks the other person off his leg.
On the movie, someone shouting from above shouts this decision to kick away the guy.Easy decision, hes a mexican minor character threatening to remove a major character.
However,in real life,if the lower guy was your son/brother/sister,would you bark out these instructions knowing your family members fate is sealed regardless?
Is it immoral and to instruct the death of another in good sense to save a life,if one is not prepared to give the same order if your family member is being kicked down the shaft?

Summing up,we are not just looking at whether it is correct to make such a decision, but whether it is correct to give it for someone who you dont care for and incorrect for someone you do
