That's a BIG stereotype but...confidence looks different on different people. For some it's loud and others it's quiet. Other qualities of your personality temper it, if you were raised to show modesty, deference to elders (or men!), you might be careful not to show your confidence overtly at times. Some hide their insecurities better than others (we all have them).

I can tell you, from personal experience, that what you say is generally true. I have moved from a large city to a caribbean island recently. I am a white woman who was always insecure about my body and less than confident in my physical appearance. Down here, however, I LOVE my body and have all the confidence in the world. Is my body different? No. But it would appear that black men (sorry for the generalization), have a greater appreciation for all types of female bodies...and are not as caught up in needing a size two on their arm to make them feel like a man.
So, in short, my answer is that the support and appreciation black women get from their community influences how she feels about herself and her body.

Wow, if that's not a stereotype, I'm not sure what is!! I'm white and I have confidence. Some white girls are confident...it's the girls who are SOOOO caught up in Hollywood that can't be happy with themselves. Also, if you ever watch the Tyra Banks show, she had a 9 year old black girl on her show that will not eat because she(and this is her quote) "doesn't want to be fat like her mother". It takes more that just looks to make someone insecure, maybe bad relationships, abusive (emotionally and/or physically) parents, peer pressure, etc.

coz their flaws show up more easily, e.g. mustaches, facial and thigh hair, absence of curves (would you date a chalkboard?) and also feminazi crap which is a turn-off for most men.
However, East European and Russian White girls are a strong exception to above rules. They are pretty beyond doubt.

well maybe because of experiences. White girls are so insecure because they never had bad experience like the Black girls. Black girls had bad experiences in their childhood so they know how to fight for themselves. (Not to offense anybody, OK)
