I think outsourcing has a short term benefit for a country, but the long term effects on a country are bad. Once a country does not product the goods necessary for its own people to function effectively, that country has just became a third world nation. Once a country has outsourced the production of all its electronics what is going to stop outside countries from raising the price to a usurious rate. At some point it will become more cost effective for the producing country to sell its goods locally. The country which originally outsourced its production will be compelled to restore its production facilities. This will increase the cost of goods and cause great hardships on the citizens of the outsourcing country. Outsourcing is a way for large corporations to make large short term profits at the long term expense of their home countries.
