Whats up Craig? I do believe you know the answer to your Q.
if you should see therapist about depression be wise about talking about the suidial tendencies, even thought it should be told if asked, put a disclaimer in it,that it is the thought that scares you,and you really do not want that. why? Medical records are in a transition from being semi-private too anyone who wants info about your health. I will not go into details about that.
I for certain, do not know what it is that puts you under the dark cloud. Most all people at one time has or is now depressed.
I pose the Q...how often do you feel to that point of suicide? Most often times some trauma, either as a child or as recent as today can place a person into a malincoly state of mind.
As I read your short Q. If you have not done so by now, digress to that period of trauma or series of which and write them down.
this serves as a starting point to discovery..keep writing and that which is hidden will surfice eventually. Other reasons for depression is where it is you live, is it cloudy all the time then you are experiecing seasonal effective depression(disorder) I chose not to say that word as alot of people in pacific NW suffer from that.
Here are some suggestions coping with depression is a lonely experience. But, I will bet you have a very good sence of humor,so check out comedy clubs,or get out and watch a funny movie. Get a hobbie going, there are clubs. I believe you can do this on your own. Most importantly do something to occupy your mind, get out of your mind, and into something you have been wanting to do. If its is the weather issue..do move.
I can not be there to guide you out of this. But if it is as bad as you say, than go to a specialist, get some drugs and continue the cycle and pay exorbitant fee's for services. If you want e-mail me confidentiality will not breached. get out and just live and do not complicate issues so much. You are needed for a special purpose in this lifetime. So stick around. Suicide is final, you will not be back to see the curcumstances of your action. For what it was worth to you, I hope for you. Well I bettter get to work or my boss will have a long talk with me. a friend in life. BC

Look in the front of your phone book for a local suicide prevention number. You don't have to be immediately at risk to call them. Tell them you are depressed and they will point you toward local help.
Good luck.
Yahoo may take your question off and send you more help, but if not here is a national number to call that may be able to refer you as well.

Craig you should also know that depression is often just caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. Medications like Prozac (Fluoxetin) have been around for about three decades and brought help to millions. You are not alone! Hang in there!

Try some suicide hotlines. Try any anonymous sources. If there's a telemarketer, tell him/her. (I am serious). I survived my suicidal feeling bout by remembering how much I would miss out on. I remembered this one girl...
Don't try talking to yourself. You'll just depress yourself.
