My brother is addicted to meth and is also suicidal. His common law wife found out that he was having an affair with another women who is also addicted to meth. Since then my brother talks about killing himself and he has a loaded gun that he carries in his pocket. His wife has told me that he has held the gun to his chest and head in front of her threatening to kill himself for what he has done. He also says that he is obsessed with this "other women" and can't let her go. They apparently have had a very volatile relationship and this other women knows how to push his buttons. He seems even more obsessed with her since he found out she has another boyfriend. She continues to call my brother and even met him at a motel last monday. My brother said they did some meth together then somehow she drugged him and stole his car (the car he was driving belongs to our dad). Since then he is delusional and even more suicidal. During one episode he kept calling his wife by the other girls name.

Will there ever be a way to display a person has reasonably normal mental functioning? and then use this display to compare to people with mental problems to see where the problem lies and then know how to treat it? (like a genetic blueprint or anything at all)
How does a person know they are mentally healthy? is there an actual feeling of security that a person feels is always with them that arises from mental balance? and when that feeling goes away its like an alarm going off that something is wrong in your head or imbalanced? I feel that my ocd drives me up the wall and my friends, although they do get stressed sometimes as normal people do, never appear to be bogged down by things, they can enjoy life and be happy. There has to be something to that. There has to be a way to say "hey look your brain is functioning normally on all levels, so you're good to go." they say a brain is like a computer, so wheres the programming code at? and how do we find the glitches? thank you.

If you had to choose between a gorgeous woman, who wanted you to have the right money, car, etc, or a woman who didnt care much for what you owned or had, but if you loved her as much as she loved and accepted you for you, which would you pick?

My battery went out while I was at the gym and this guy whom I sort of like, works there, and i called him and asked him if he could give me a jump because my battert died, and he explained that one of his client's were coming in, but he'll see if he can help me..so he called me back and said, he couldn't because his client was expected to show up any minute , but he did ask around, and one of his co worker's would help me, out...and then after that he went on to explain that he was very sorry, that he wasn't able to give me a jump himself, and that if his client wasn't coming in...he assured me that he would do it himself...now my question is do you think there is more to what he was saying, like does it sound more personal or business, and should that be counted against him considering the fact that he didn't come out and help me anyway...and do you think he likes me...oh no it's not alot to go on..but the fact that he was overexplaining himself as to why he wasn't able to help me
