When you call a business and get caught in the invariable loop? And when you finally get to speak to a real live person either their accent is to strong to understand them or they are in a big warehouse full of other people talking on the phone and it is hard to understand them because of this. I just got off of the phone with the phone company because I had a question about a charge on my bill and I was caught in that hateful loop and then put on hold to talk to a real person, 20 minutes from the time I placed the call until I talked to a real person.

Lately I have been having some pretty intense dreams about myself dying. In the majority of my dreams they are large bodies of water and the last dream I had, had to do with me in a coffin. Does anyone know what this could possible represent?

I had this dream where a greyish black cat was trying to get into my house under the screen door, it was moving it's paw underneath at first, then managed to get it's head under. my mom walked in the room and saw it, . i grabbed a matchete and tried to kill the cat, then i got down on the floor with it and tried to push it's head out, it's paw reached out to me and i pushed it's head again. then i played with it, i got up again grabbed my machete and tried to stab it but it managed to squeeze into the house and ran under a chair, i lifted up the chair (recliner type) and stabbed underneath, it moved a bit then ran again i dunno where i woke up.

what does it mean?

I owned a cat once i am not really a cat person and i didnt really want to kill the cat but in the dream i wanted to stab it to death.

Kohlberg described 6 stages in moral development:

Level 1 (Pre-Conventional)
1. Obedience & punishment orientation (Do it or suffer)
2. Self-interest orientation (What's in it for me?)

Level 2 (Conventional)
3. Interpersonal accord & conformity (The good boy/good girl attitude)
4. Authority and social-order maintaining orientation (Law and order morality)

Level 3 (Post-Conventional)
5. Social contract orientation (Greatest good for the greatest number)
6. Universal ethical principles (Principled conscience)

When you consider the moral teachings of your particular faith, doctrine, or discipline, how do their teachings fit into the particular stages of moral development described by Dr. Kohlberg?

Ben Franklin tried to lead his life, checking himself before others had to with a list of 13 virtues. He placed each one of the virtues on a separate page in a small book that he kept with him for most of his life. He would evaluate his performance with regard to each of them on a daily basis. He would also select one of the virtues to focus on for full week. Franklin often emphasized these 13 virtues in his Poor Richard's Almanack. In a letter to his son William, he gave the list of virtues, recommending that William follow them too.
Anyone ever try this?
