I'm sorry that you feel 'discriminated against' because you are a 'cross-dresser.' Generally 'society' doesn't understand the reasons why a person is a 'cross-dresser' and so they 'discriminate against them' ... although being a 'tom-boy' (a female who dresses in male clothes and does 'male stuff' rather than being 'girly' and 'feminine') is not looked at in nearly as 'bad a light' as males who like 'dresses and make up' are. Yes, I do know that saying you are a 'cross dresser' does NOT mean that you are GAY ... but I used to 'counsel' mainly gays, and also had a few 'cross dressers' as clients, both 'straight' and gay. You are correct ... you are just 'wearing clothes' ... and I feel that you should have the 'right' to wear whatever you want when you are going out, as well as 'staying home' ... but I have a question for you ... if you 'feel like a woman' on the inside, are you simply a 'cross dresser' or are you a 'trans-sexual'? It doesn't matter to me what you are ... but if you are a 'trans-sexual' then I suggest you start seeing a 'counselor' who can help you 'get through everything' you need to 'do' to get the 'surgery' so that you can become a 'real woman' ... if you want to. Otherwise, I 'applaud you' for dressing the way YOU want, not the way 'society' says you should dress. Go out and wear your 'dresses' because maybe there is some boy who 'feels the same way' who may not have 'the guts' to wear what he wants ... and maybe seeing you 'out of the closet' will make it easier for him to 'come out' ... and eventually 'cross dressers' won't be 'any different' from the rest of us. And wouldn't that be wonderful if it could happen in 'our lifetimes?'

In principle I don't care BUT YES I do notice how women dress. I can't help it: if a woman looks godawful it registers with me. I have lived many years in Europe and noticed that women (and men) dress infinitely better than we on THIS side of the Pond do (DU-UH). When I see crossdressers horribly put together I perceive it as a caricature of women - and by extension, an insult to those of us who own mirrors and use them.
In short, you should not feel singled out . I am generally appalled at the "fashionista's" I see out there anyway. Hmm...you know, I strongly suspect that Italian or French crossdressers would do a much better job of it than North Americans!

Seems as though this is gender discrimination. Women "dress" like men all the time. Of course there is no such thing as mens dress or womens dress. Examples are kilts in Scotland and very similar in Greece. But no one seems to think much about women wearing trousers, but heaven forbid a man cross dress. I feel sorry for the men who have this need. I see nothing wrong with it. And ladies, wear the pants all you like, especially those tight jeans.

You do what makes you happy, no-one has the right to dictate how you choose to live your life.
Don't worry about what people think or say, some people just can't handle the fact that there are people who are different and it makes them confused and scared. You have to just ignore those types of ignorant, judgemental people and carry on living life the way you see fit.
Take care : )

There's a difference between a cross-dresser and a transsexual. A cross-dresser is usually a man who wants to wear women's clothing, but is still a man. A transsexual feels that they are the opposite gender and trapped in the wrong body. It's two different things. You should look it up online and see which one you really are.

They aren't really. Misogyny is really kept under the radar. Women's issues are well funded and supported. Women in western culture have equal rights. Only women in Middle Eastern countries are really being discriminated against.

I personally feel a guy can look nice as a woman if he takes the time and does a good job. It gives them a bit of an idea of what we have to go through to look nice.

Sorry, dude, but that's life for someone who is different. I don't care if you crossdress in principle, but if I see a 6 foot tall burly man in heels and wig and makeup, I'm taking a second look-sorry, that's just how it is.
