I need a valid and credible source that states the origins and beginning of marriage before it was adopted as a religious word and practice. I don't want Wikipedia or Urban dictionary as sources because they aren't credible or proven sources. I would really appricieate a link. Thank You.

P.S. Don't waste your time religious enthousiests, I'm not paying any attention to you.

So anyone who does not have the same opinion of you is not a credible source? So your saying only the truth and facts come only from people with the same idea as you? Where have I heard that before? Oh yea, Hilter said it during his speech in 1939 on why facism is the future of politics. Good luck with that.

If you don't want a "religious" answer, I'm assuming out of the bible is what you mean. Then take your pick of the lies of these so called scholars- hell you could even make up something. The truth is the first marriage is in the bible with Adam and Eve... who were black (Israelite) man and women by the way.

even the birds to the largest animal have a ritual for mating. most animals stay together for life. we have religion and society as our witness to the vows. who are you to make up the rules? sometimes intelligence get in the way of common sense. sounds like you don't have either.

You won't find it without finding religion...unfortunately for you, it's God-ordained. I hope you find what you're looking for, though. We all have questions we'd like answered.
