A friend of mine told me last night that I'm too negative particularly about myself. I have to say it is true. I would like to be somewhere in between in which I am about general things but maybe I need to work on my own self concept.

Too bad they don't make extreme makeovers for the inner self.

I have read that rewarding yourself for your accomplishments can help you achieve your goals. What are some good rewards I can give myself for completing the needed tasks to accomplish my goals? I'm on a limited budget and I don't believe in food rewards. Do you have any suggestions?

I was dating a man for about a year and was madly head over heels in love. We went hiking, to the movies and just about everything together. We were so devoted that we dreamed of the future, weddings, kids. There were a few rough arguments that sent me crying for days over the idea of being without him.
Well, one night I went to bed dreaming of the man I loved, the next morning I woke up, looked at him and thought "Ick, who are you, what am I doing here, I don't think I even like you!" I packed my bag, left the spare key and left forever with out a word.
As for the man I loved so much I don't have a single iota of guilt or remorse for randomly leaving. I can't even really remember why I liked him. I guess this must mean I never loved him.
Anyone have the experience of loving someone so much one day and just leaving without a thought the next day? Anyone ever love someone deeply and then just leave with no guilt or warning?

If so I hope we aren't sociopaths!

I try to give people with personal questions my true answer, in a sensitive way.
Are some people just saying things others want to hear, and why?
Are some people approaching things in other ways?
It's just interesting to me that so many of us could have different approaches, and you don't always know is which?

Ive done alot of hard work in my life. Ive worked in factories and the such, and know what its like to get dirty. Yet ive always known while at work to take a break every now and then so i can wash my hands and arms up before lunch and of course after the work day is over ive always known the first damn thing to do when i step in the door is to hit the shower and clean my butt up. It seems so many people dont know how to do this. How to take a shower everyday. I dont care if you are working in a coal mine or working behind a desk in a office. You need to shower everyday!
Nothing worse than having to work beside of somebody who smells of armpit stench.
Do you have any horror stories of stinky people at work or in your everyday life? People that dont change their clothes or wont bath?

lets say my wife's last name is Gonzales but the ss card shows Gonzales-Garcia. i would assume this would be her new whole last name because of the dash. she Has been using Gonzales in the past. Does this means she has to use Gonzales-Garcia from now on and for everything. Would it be a big deal if she uses just Gonzales as last name in further documents without changing the name on the SS card. or would there be a conflict because Gonzalez and Gonzales-Garcia are 2 different names.

In South America, we have 4 names: First name, middle name, father's last name and mother's last name. i know most of the time INS would put your four names on the green card. Lets say her name is Mary Ana Gonzales Garcia. In the card the name shown is Mary Ana Gonzales-Garcia.
First I thought that is not a big deal then we went to the SS office and they put the name just like the resident card.

Do you think that this has a major impact on the males, especially young boys, who are taught to not question, express disagreament, & withhold frustration, to the point of internalising these feelings & emotions; some of the false beliefs given to parents of young boys, from teachers are" well he must have A.D.H.D, or some other mental behavioral problem", when infact this usually boils down to him being manipulated by guilt etc, to be dishonest with his feelings & thoughts; The effect this can have on family life is enourmous, such as oh my child is mentally ill, or he isnt right & even sub-conscious messages, such as i'm not good enough.. which can destroy peoples lives. Boys need to express what they need to express, & teachers /schools ought to encourage this & help channel this for the benefit of the child, & unfortunatly society. Now to some this might seem as though i'm not supporting the females, however, feminist conditioning is eventually counter productive for the
