Generally, yes. I may talk a big game, and may live it out sometimes, but I'm no Amazon, and I like my men stronger than me.
Taller feels that way, even if it isn't 100% always the case.

I am 5' 4" and am dating a man who is 5'0". He said I am the only woman who has ever been interested in him, because all the other women wouldn't date a man of his height. He's really great, and I couldn't discriminate against him for his genetics. I'd prefer if he were a bit taller, though. Most women say they like really tall men. My dream height for a guy would be about 1-4 inches taller than me. Then he would be taller than me but not so tall the we couldn't kiss standing up.

I think it depends on the woman...but nearly all women prefer a man who is taller than her. Since there are many women who are petite, then being with a man who is 5'4" would not be a big deal to them, because he would still be taller than her. I, on the other hand, am 5'8", and don't feel comfortable with a guy who is much shorter than me (maybe an inch or two) and prefer a man who is closer to 6'. It all depends on the womans height, what she determines to be "tall" or "short".

I'm only 5' 4" tall. I do prefer taller men, altho my current sweetie is only 5' 8". Although I've dated men of all heights, I tend towards men that are 6' or taller.
I'm a thick sistah, so tall men often create a "balance" in the way we look together. I think that always pops up somewhere in the back of my mind.
Also, on a subconscious level, I think women feel more secure with tall men (in terms of strength and ability to protect).

That depends on the woman--I myself prefer a man close to my height--I am 5'3" tall- my man is 5'5" tall- so we are well aligned.

I think that most women prefer tall men b/c it makes them feel like the man would be better at protecting them.

A man that is taller than oneself, so obviously that depends on the height of the individual woman. This may be due to women, based on ancient instincts, needing a protector.
