The saddest part about this subject is the fact that some really stinky (body odor) people DO bathe daily. The problem is that thier bodies are more prone to sweating and bacteria causing odors. Some may have an unknown illness. They may not realize they stink at all because they have been desensitized from the aroma of putridness they cause. In my case, I have had TERRIBLE allergies my whole life and cant smell or taste 80% of the time. I dont know when I stink so I get unusually paranoid if I sweat or havent bathed for a day. Strong soaps and detergents are hard on my skin so I sure hope I'm not one of those "stinky" people!! Please tell me if I am so I can do something about it! Also if you start spraying lysol around and asking them what that smell is everytime they are around, maybe they will start to take a hint...at least I'd hope so! Until then get a clothes pin for your nose.

I worked around a 911 Center where there was one guy who smelled so bad that people called off sick and one of the women filed a complaint that his personal hygiene was so bad that it was dangerous to her having to use a chair after him. The matter was referred to the local Health Department who said that this person was so dirty that he consituted a viral and bacteria threat to his co-workers. He was fired, appealed several times and he seemed to have no problem with people who had worked with him at several different jobs testifying to how badly he smelled and how filthy his clothes were. The courts upheld the employment commission decision to dismiss based on the danger to other workers and that there was no economic or ethnic (don't know why that was there) reasons for the person to smell as bad. Also the Judge in the final hearing had the baliffs put out air fresheners and to lysol the chairs after the hearings. I had been around the guy and my background includes Vietnam, factory work, sports and law enforcement and I had never smelled anything so bad. I do wonder why someone would want to smell that way.

LMFAO!!! Yes I do!! My ex--he is 6'1" tall and 300 lbs. I'm sorry and no offens to him--he means well to people -- but his hygeine leaves something to be desired. He does not shower for 2-3 days--I asked if he brushed his teeth and he said he hadn't done that for 35 years!! I think I turned green. I feel bad for him--I reall don't think he really knows how to take proper care of himself--cleanliness or diet and exercise--he labor when he breathes. His cholersterol is high and blood pressure is huge--I had to leave--I just couldn't deal with it any longer after doing all I could to help try an change this.

Yes, I once worked with a guy, who smelled badly, and never changed his clothes, except to wear short sleeved shirt in the summer, and long sleeve in the winter. The same shirt each season. He was so bad, that his skin (or dirt) flaked off around his area. When he was gone for lunch, or before he came in to work, someone would spray his area with disinfectant. He finally got fired, for stealing, and everyone breathed a deep sigh of relief.

When I was in the military, there was a guy who was ordered to shower and do his laundry because he smelled so bad. He had the gall to offer me money to sleep with him. I would have rather taken my chances with a desert snake that come with in 10 feet of that nasty slob. The worst the about his smell was that it was like old dirt.

In high school i had a band teacher who clearly never showered and wore the same pants almost everyday. He smelled weird and had huge dndruff flakes in his hair. It makes me sick just thinking of it. I mean how unprofessional is that, haha lets just say he wasnt at our school to long

Yes! I had a chemistry class and had to sit next to this really smelly guy. I had to breathe through my mouth the entire class, but even then it still sometimes made me gag.
