I have read that rewarding yourself for your accomplishments can help you achieve your goals. What are some good rewards I can give myself for completing the needed tasks to accomplish my goals? I'm on a limited budget and I don't believe in food rewards. Do you have any suggestions?

There are many ways to reward yourself without money even involved. Give yourself a big pat on the back! Write it down on a calender!! Big red words and read it everyday--if you want--reward yourself once a month by treating yourself to a night out and go have a nice dinner somewhere--you have earned it!

Think of your rewards from a different perspective. Rather than rewarding yourself after reaching a goal, why not reward yourself for each task you do towards that goal and then once you actually reach the goal you get an extra special reward:
think about luxuries you have that you take for granted: computer, Television, phone, running water, shampoo and soap, deodorant, makeup, stylish clothing.
Limit these items until you take care of the task you need to do. If you dont get your task accomplished then maybe it means you cant wear deodorant and makeup or you cant do your hair when you leave until you get your task done. Or maybe you cant use the computer, phone or TV until you do your task to reach your goal. Once you restrict all these things that you take for granted, you should be able to attain your goal quicker. When you attain your goal,(tell your firends what you are trying to do) then reward yourself by having them over. HAve a pot luck where everyone brings a dish or brings games to play. You can have a movie night together or go out for drinks. You can reward yourself by going to the library and renting videos or books. (thats cheap!) You can reward yourself by buying something new and inexpensive that you need. Restrict all of your hobbies and interests to use as rewards too!

Anything can be a reward. If you are on a budget, try non material things like "you" time where you turn off the phone and do whatever you want. Or maybe you can put a little bit of money into a jar every time you accomplish a goal. and eventually buy yourself something really nice like a trip.

Reward yourself can be with little things with big heart -
Since your budget is also low,

- Wear your favorite dress
- spend some time in prayer at your liking place of worship
- listen or purchase some liking music
- open a new notebook
- arrange a bunch of flowers at your bed / work table (also you can add some fragrance to that)

What do you like to do? Reward yourself with whatever makes you happy. GO for a walk, and base your time out on how many tasks you completed.

I use anything that I enjoy but that is indulgent and not really beneficial to me as a reward. Things like watching TV or movies, reading junk (like a Stephen King novel), using the internet, playing a game, taking a nap, etc.

Always pay yourself first before paying your bills. (makes you work harder to get what you want.. not just get by for what you need)
Maybe a trip to a movie that you want to see.
If you collect anything, coins, dolls, marbles... things like that, maybe add to the collection as a reward. (this will only pay off in the future)
