Social Science - 2 January 2007

I regularly see a person at my AA meeting who claims 10 years of continuous sobriety I enjoy talking to this person and found a wonderful warm ,generous person with a great sense of humor. I tried a free trial on a popular dating site and saw this person on there looking for a partner or (whatever.) But the profile of this person did not sound at all like the person I thought I knew!. This person said they drank cheap whiskey and tequilla on a regualr basis and was into animal sacrifice and all kinds of voodoo and wiccan. The thing which disturbed me was the fact that this person is claiming to party every day on booze and then comes to an AA meeting and claims to be sober. Should I confront this person ?

I am happily married with a wonderful child but lately am confused as to why things are the way they are- I believe in God but am not religious and lately am consumed with the overall population and behaviors as a WHOLE versus just my happy piece. It just seems as if we are living in world where women are stuck with childbirth beauty standards and hormones (which cause mood swings) while men only have pressure for success. So, on top of this, I am tying this into men who frequent strip clubs while they are married- is this God's plan to make men disrespect women by sticking them with all of these things while in return he has not hotwired women to disrespect men? It seems as if men have no problems seeing other women's GOODS while most women were not made to do that. Those types of guys are basically publicing admitting they wish their wife looked that way- so while some of them behave this way, was it God's plan to make women with the shorter end of stick and disrespected or what?

I was about 10 years old and never went skiing in my life and I dreamed that I was skiing and kept falling until I would ski with slightly bent knees, then I never fell. I remembered the dream my first time skiing, and never fell except when I got to the bottom of the hill and needed to stop and at the time did not know how to snow plow.

I'm lookin' for someone who will help me with this. My fear sometimes paralyze me, and I can't concentrate on anything. I'm 26, no health problems. Is there any group in London where I can seek help? Or maybe You know someone who won with this phobia. Any book titles will help too. Please, answer only if You can really help me. "Don't worry" or "Be more optimistic" are just empty words for me. I don't have depression, I've got normal life, just sometimes when I think about it it totally ruin my few next days...

I love being healthy. I work out, I am toned, I eat as healthy as I can, and I don't have any excess fat on my body. (PLEASE NOTE: I said "don't have any excess fat", not "don't have any fat"...being rail thin is as bad as being overweight.)
Yet I'm always hearing from males that women should have extra pounds on them and tht being fit is a guy thing. Someone tell me what the deal is, because I'm not going to let myself go!

Seeing as domestic violence between lesbians is vastly more common than domestic violence between heterosexual couples and seeing as (according to feminists) domestic violence is either:

1) 99% committed by men, so basically the police should arrest the man.

or:

2) Self defence by the woman and in any case the violence occured in a context of invisible "patriarchal oppression" so she was defending herself even if she, unprovoked fired a handgun at his groin and so the man should be arrested as he must have somehow started it.

How do the police know who to arrest if both parties are women?

I am shocked!!! To say the least. I think he knows I caught him. He turned around and saw me. He began to cover his 3.5 inches up and his face turned bright red. We haven't spoken all day. We used to have this huge appartment complex in Ukraine. Near by there grew this old tree and in that tree lived this really hidious bird. This creature rarely every made any noise, but when it did, the screetch was really scarry and horrible. Just about the same day we would have an ambulance arrive and pick up someone who died and needs to be buried. Would this seem more like a coinsidence or do bird really know when death is near. If it is true, is there then really such thing as death which comes for us?
