Thanks for reading! I'm doing science coursework, lucky me, and would be very grateful if you could answer the following questions for me:

If you were to have a baby...

1. Would you choose the baby's gender if it could stop the baby developing a sex-related disease?

2. Would you choose the baby's gender for 'social' reasons (eg if you already had 3 boys and wanted a girl)?

3. Would you choose the baby's eye colour, hair colour or other physical features?

Thanks very much!

Hopefully I can give you the basic question with as little info as possible. Depression runs in my family. I've been in and out of it my whole life, w/various medications.I was diagnosed w/fibromyalgia a few years ago,(to add to my fun --& most people think this is a made-up disease). My husband knew everything about my mental health since I met him in 1990. I love him so much, but the last year or so, when I had too many sad things happen it has been bad. Somewhere around 11/06 it has come back. He is losing his patience and I can understand him getting frustrated, it's human, but I also have tried to tell him how sad and scared I am. He ends up yelling at me. That happened one too many times last week.Threatened to drop me off at a mental hospital-which he knows is one of my worst fears. If I lose him, I'm done. Any advice on making him get that I'm not using it as an excuse to be lazy?He seems so dissapointed in me and that's saddest of all. ANY advice would help. This is bad.

When I was a teenager I had crushes, and assumed that one day I'd feel that way about someone "for real" and that would be love. But at 34, I'm still waiting!

It's not as though I get involved with people who are all wrong for me. I'm happy enough in my relationships. My longest lasted six years, others of note have been four years and three years (the one I'm in now). But I've never felt love. I go straight from idle curiosity "he's nice, I wonder if this'll work out?" to feeling like we've been married for ten years.

Everyone ticks all the boxes - same sense of humour, things in common, compatible values - but I can easily imagine life without them, my heart doesn't skip a beat when I see them, I don't really think about them when they're not there. I'd be as happy being just friends with them.

Could it be that I still haven't met the right person? Am I expecting too much and "love" isn't like that? Or is this some sort of personality disorder that I just need to live with?

All I can remember when it woke me, was a rectangle clear acrylic box fixed up with pea gravel and a climbing limb, with a big snake in it. A few large rats, and a bunch of mice were running around in it. Then I see a bunch of kittens standing in a corner watching the mice. One bold kitten decides to play with a mouse, and eventually was walking close by the snake swiping his front paw around teasing the baby mouse. Then he caught the mouse and had it in his mouth, and at that moment the snake rose up and bit the kittens head. It was flopping around and the snake just sat steady with the kitten in his mouth until it went limp..then I woke and freaked on why in the heck I dreamed that?????

I need at least 8 hours to function normally, 12 is perfect...but I don't want to sleep as much as it's basically time going to waste. So how can I become one of those lucky bastards who only need 4 hours of sleep per day and they are shining in the morning and through the rest of the day?

I was raised by adopted parents. Father is a quantum physics research scientist & Professor at Princeton with an IQ of 160 and my mother developed techniques for cloning animals in private research after graduating from Cambridge at the top of her class, her IQ being 150.

My real parents were an alcoholic gravedigger with a 3rd grade education (IQ unknown) and a burned out drug addicted bimbo prostitute with an IQ of about 70.

I am a full professor at Oxford and have developed and perfected cryogenically altered genetic code for the flap winged dragonfly. I have received several prestigious awards for my work which will contribute to altering genetic code for humans. My IQ is 165.

So is my genius genetic or environmentally induced?

How long can you put others before yourself and to what detriment to yourself....where do you draw the line?

For example if someone is abusive towards you but you know they do not mean it, they are terribly stressed themselves...how long can you take it for?

When has this happened to you?

i recently went through a REALLY anti social period and just stopped talking to everyone but my parents and 2 closest friends. i was just frustrated with people in general and started keeping to myself. i was like that for a good three years and now i'm comming out of my funk and i want to interact with the world again. the problem is that i've been out of it for soo long that i almost forget how to be social, and i'm overly contious of my behavior all the time. i feel uncofortable talking to others and it's difficult for me to conect with people. i get nervouse somtimes because i'm afraid people will sense that i'm not good at talking.
it's kind of a weird problem but i would appreciate any advice.

most women take advantage of this life and claim that they have rights!!! But If they didnt have warm homes to lay their cute little heads down or cushy grociery stores to shop in or jobs to suduce men to a higer position to pay for their house or marital lawyers etc. That they would think twice about trying to be more dominant than men?

I have a stuttering problem, it isn't overwhelmingly bad like how you might see reports of TV and such but it mainly effects with words that begin with "sh" and "sssss" words and also occasionally with "f". Sometimes it is good, I can talk to people and have a conversation that doesn't result in me getting embarrassed, but it isn't as bad when I talk with friends, more with family. Please help me on ways that I can get over this.
