I have a stuttering problem, it isn't overwhelmingly bad like how you might see reports of TV and such but it mainly effects with words that begin with "sh" and "sssss" words and also occasionally with "f". Sometimes it is good, I can talk to people and have a conversation that doesn't result in me getting embarrassed, but it isn't as bad when I talk with friends, more with family. Please help me on ways that I can get over this.

A speech pathologist may be able to help you. you could also ry to figure out what is going on when your speech is good and then try to create that in situations where your speech isn't as good.

Stutteringhelp.org is a great resource for stutterers and concerned others. The organization has many free materials, and is a good start for adults who have never had speech therapy.

um...seems to me like you stutter when your shy, and nervous, which explain why you stutter arould family and not friends. you can cope with friends, yet with family, its always a win or lose in most cases.
i cant really say if this'll work, bc im not really a speech theripst, but heres my oppinion. try and relax around people like you are when your with your friends. be at ease, and you most likely you wont get fusterated and stutter.... good luck=)
