Depends which branch of Anthropology you would like to study. For Archaeology, Harvard, Penn State, and Texas are all great places.
For Physical Anthropology, Tennessee, Nebraska, Harvard are as good as you can get.
For Cultural Anthropology, Consider Univ. of California Berkley, Yale, and Penn. State as well as UCLA
For Linguistics, Harvard, Oklahoma, and UCLA are all good schools
For Forensics, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Ohio State all have good programs
For Grad schools Consider Harvard, Penn State, or Yale, or UCLA as great overall choices
Best overall in nation is probably Harvard or Penn State
Other generally good schools with excellent programs include Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan (especially for ethnobotany), Texas, UCLA, Berkley, SMU, Arizona, New Mexico,Tennessee, Yale, South Alabama, LSU and Tulane
