change is easy, adaptability and perseverence to change is whats hard. whenever we make a change that is life altering,we come up with the worry if the decision was right(i.e. the grass is always greener)this causes us to second guess ourselves and to worry unesscessarily, which can result in more problems to change. Its better to come up with a plan if possible when deciding a change.(although life has a way of making changes by itself, thus making a scramble to stay with your head above water)when faced with problems that seem to come on sudden,we basically do damage control, and only seem to dwell on self preservation, where if we decide it leaves plenty of room for what ifs.....A year ago my wife, decided to leave me and move to another town with her sister(the place we were staying at was very problematic, but it was where I had grown up and all my bad influences were there.the week after this, after doing drugs sucessfully, for twenty years and getting raises, promotions etc.for my hard work,I decided to fail a drug test and let myself get caught,It wasnt the best way to change, there were more ramifications for wanting to live sober than a successful druggie,I lost everything just about and had to dig my way out of it the hardest way,I adapted, accepted my choices and moved on,it was a train wreck but I had a plan and stuck to it even when it wouldve been easier to just go back to my old lifestyle,I now have reconciled with my wife, paid all my debts that i owed, and am living in a great nieghborhood in Vegas, and have been sober since thanksgiving of last year. life is good again...so in short make and pursue changes and accentuate the positive rather than the negative and you'll eventually lose the "what ifs"

You need to start realizing these things you have diffuculty doing is because you let people make decisions for you. Stop and look around, see who's talking to you, what are they saying? What are they asking? What are they telling you?
Are they asking you questions or telling you what to do? It sounds to me like you suffer from allowing others to run your life for you. Take charge, look at whose telling you what to do and who is helping YOU make decisions. Which decisions seem to matter to you the most and from what person?
Realize you must take charge for yourself, make some small decisions on your own and work your way to larger ones. You will find you won't be in these messes anymore and you can rest easier.

yep.. im have a lot of trouble making desitions!! getting to the point that I actually dont take a desition! but this days Ive learned something all of that it was because it wasnt clear to me what I wanted, and before making desitions was so easy cause I know exactly where I was going..
once you made up your mind its still hard but if it was a good call you always know deep in your heart, even if its painfull..
take the time in the world to think before making a desition. The good desition will give you peace ;)

I have found that my first 'thoughts' were usually the right ones. I totally believe "what's to be will be" , so don't get too hung up on things, go with your first impulse and let the 'chips fall where they will.' Good luck. ;)

Ask others you trust for lots of advice and reasons for their advice. Then chose what seems to work.
