Social Science - 2 January 2007

In a system of capitalism, why would an employer give a raise to an employee? If I opened a business, why would I want to pay my employees more than the other businesses, and why would I provide healthcare?

I'm going crazy! i've been trying to look for psychology experiments/studies with the aim, method and conclusion, (on effects of rehearsal on memory) and there is no onlin archive or anything--that is unless you have a credit card, and i'm just a student that's skint! plz help--the homework is due tomorrow morning! just where online can you find these studies?

And your tired of everything. I've done my time talking to counselors, so I have all the "tools" and I stopped taking anti-depressants 2 months ago after taking them for at least 10yrs+. Don't want to rely on a drug, plus think my body was immune to them anyway. Have a beautiful home that has turned into a big clutter........want to clean it, knowing it will make me feel better, but back to the problem........no motivation!

I am 15 and I have a weird problem... I am in love with Scarlett Johansson, it is completely irrational but no matter how hard I try I can't control it. Everytime I dream about going out with her. I'm in major depression because of her. i can't calm myself down, I have a high blood pressure constantly because of her. What to do?? When I see her, it's the most beautiful feeling, so great yet so frustrating. My hands get cold, trembling a bit, I feel a certain vibe inside of my belly, my eyes are hungry and I'm almost dying. I'm engaged in science, but all fell apart when I fell in love with her. SHE IS ALL I NEED. How come?

im able to sing songs while the song comes on, but i cant remember the lyrics when i try to sing it all by myself. Im afraid i might have a mental condition, i try to remember the songs but i cant, im only able to sing it with them, and im not able to remember most things ive learned like in school. Could this mean i have a memory problem. At times i try to listen carefully to what the teacher is sayiong in school but i seem to be lost in my thoughts or just began to daydream. Is there anything i can do to improve my memory or what?

I'm in my own house as usual with everything in place, except for one thing.Below my tv, which sits on a shelf-like-thing, and two small shelves ((And they contain a little bit of junk on them)).But, when I look at it, it looks a little bit bigger and contains books. Some of these books are magic. One would say Magic. And the other books would be another magical topic, and then be mixed in with normal books. However, I have a speacil attatchment to this Magic book, because it dissapears and I go crazy trying to find it.I look everywhere, and the only books left are the other magic books and normal ones.

What does this dream mean?I've had it about three times in a row now.And even when I wake up, i keep wishing I find the book in my dream so I can read what's inside.. Please, someone! Tell me what this means!

i keep feeling so attracted to beautiful girls in America, but also when foreign girls come from another country, i feel so attracted. But is there a point? I try to say "just forget it, that's impossible" but i still feel attraction.

Example: So many chinese, japanese, koreans come to visit USA. I don't talk to them but i see them always in the streets, .. I am attracted but they do't even live here and they just come to visit and then leave.

I loved all the parties, seeing friends and family but, I'm a little tired. The holidays dictated my schedule. I wasn't able to do some of the things I like to do, such as take day trips with my husband and friends, sit quietly and read, listen to music, and just do spur of the moment things. I was compelled to decorate, shop, bake, wrap gifts, etc. Looking forward to Jan. for a little quiet time and in Feb. I plan my garden. Do you feel the same?
