Well, religious people have been predicting the end of the world for the past 1600 years. I think all their patience will finally pay off and 2007 will finally be the year. :)
Barring the Rapture, 2008 will see the return of a Republican-controlled Congress since the Democrats in charge apparently didn't learn their lesson from the last time they were ousted, which is unfortunate. Hello!!. You don't put crooked people in charge of your committees. You were given a chance to redeem yourself and you've already fumbled the ball. In 2008, Republicans will run on the campaign promise that they have learned the errors of their ways and as soon as they are re-elected will go back to business as usual, which is unfortunate. At the start of 2009, we'll be exactly where we were at the beginning of 2006.
Crime is a barometer of how well the economy is doing. Violent crimes will continue to rise over the next two years as the lasting effects of a Republican-controlled Congress will continue to be felt.
The loopholes in the No Child Left Behind Act will be "fixed" and we'll begin to see a record number of school closures, at which point in time we'll see a repeal of the No Child Left Behind Act.
Coca-cola will continue to prevail over Pepsi.
Taco Bell will switch to organically-grown vegetables, putting tens of farmers out of business who apparently use human waste to fertilize their produce.
Bert and Ernie will come out which will become a rallying cry for the eventual legalization of same-sex marriage.
Israeli citizens will start to ask the question, "Why do so many other countries hate us?" and realize that it's the same reason "God" kicked them out of the Holy Land the first time.
Chick-Hop will finally be laid to rest. Rappers such as Ludacris, 50 Cent, and the Blacked Eyed Peas will become a thing of the past; prompting the question among millions of teenagers, "Why did I ever listen to them?"

The United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland:
I think we will the overflowing with immigrants from 3rd world nations and they will probably start more riots in the streats like in France. The native people of Britain will be fed up with these people but i'm sure the government won't do anything!!!
