When I was a psychology professor and we talked about phobias in class, I had a student confess that she is scared to death of refrigerated biscuits (the kind that come in the cardboard 'can' that you twist to pop open). I foolishly brought a used scale to the office one time because I heard some staff discussing weight loss strategies. Well, did stupid me learn something very quickly. To my misfortune I found out that the greatest fear that I have ever encountered was "Fear of Scale" or scalaphobia. It was as if I took a live cobra into the office. The women fled in panic and someone in the office immediately hid the scale and no one would ever to this day would disclose its location.

My 'craziest phobia' is that our borders will be overrun by illegal aliens and that our elected government wont do anything to stop it or protect us! Soon we will be a 3rd world nation and Spanish will be our dominate language.
Crazy, huh?
