These men obviously feel threatened by a fit woman. Fitness has to do with health and contribute to good physical, mental and spiritual well being. Excercising increases endorphins which means pleasure and why shouldn't women experience this as well. Many years ago men felt that women engaging in sports would make them less likely to want to be housewives and mothers. As we know in this age women multitask far better than their male counterparts. At one time athletic women were stereotyped as being gay as well. You keep doing what you do and don't worry about a jealous man who needs to get his thinking into the millenium when women do everything and do it all well. Good luck.

I don't know who you're hearing this from. There are way too many overweight women in this country. I think those guys figure they can get a fat chick easier than a healthy woman because she'll have lower self-esteem.
Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want one. Someone who is overweight can't even take care of their own body; how can they have a healthy relationship?
Stick to working out. A good, healthy weight is the most attractive and the best choice for you!

I think toned is what alot of men are talking about. Toned to me, on a woman looks good, it looks like you are taking care of yourself. If you start getting huge biceps, as in really muscular, or have that bodybuilder body it's not very attractive. Most guys would feel it was like dating another guy, if they dated a girl that was a bodybuilder more or less.
I would certainly date a toned lady, but a bodybuilder type, probably not, that may be why guys would say don't work out. Nothing wrong with being toned, looks wise, but overly muscalar looks too masculine for a woman.

Ok, I see the other answers. I'll go one better- I'm not a bodybuilder myself, but wouldn't mind dating one. That's one way to be healthy! There's nothing wrong with anything you are doing. In fact, wanna send me a picture? I'm kidding-chances are I'm way too old for you. The things you're saying here date back to the beginning of bodybuilding as a sport (1980) and that makes it so eighties! Just tell them to live in the modern world! If you refuse to let yourself go now, you'll live longer and healthier than eveybody else-living well being the best revenge. I'm still healthier than my sedentary counterparts-those who are still alive. And I don't regret working out when I was in my twenties and thirties, and well, ok my fourties.

I think it's perfectly alright to workout as you do , I think those that have said these things just may be concerned that if overdone one can lose some feminine qualities but if your just reasonably working out and not trying to become a lady bodybuilder type it's perfectly fine. Though if a women chose to be a body builder that's her business but I don't find going to that extreme attractive but a healthy women as it sounds you are is attractive.

Eh people, lets stick the man-being-mentally weak/crap criticisms out, yes ?
Given the fact that in my country and many developed countries aruond the world, the stats shwo that on average men and women are 60% overweight, i wouldn't see why this would be bad. Unless youre trying to be 'wrestler-buff' in which case it would bother me, not because youre a woman though because even men like that make me wanan avoid them.

Men cant make up their mind, one minute they want a skinny chick, the next fat, the next a little chubby, I would love to knwowhat they are thinking. But exercising is not a bad thing it is when you are addicted to it, is when it gets bad..Keep up the good work and find a man that like or loves you for who you are not what you look like.
