Around the outside of My house Sparrows break our light fixtures and make nests in them and every time we go to clean it out and install a new fixture we hear new babies! They are like there 5 set of babies and I was wondering how many times they are going to reproduce so we can get them out of there and use our lights again.

I can`t find a larvae identification guide online anywhere. This thing was cool. Looked like a large typical maggot looking larvae with an inch and a half long thin tail. Total length was about 2 inches. There were three of them found in the bucket. Really neat looking and any help on identification would be appreciated...

Reason I ask is because my local grocery has taped on their coolers that the high price of milk is because of the higher price of corn. Didnt just a couple of years ago the government force the diary industry to cut its production? Now this. Is this just another excuse to raise the price or is there merit to this claim of the price of corn being the reason?

It's all bright yellow with a few long black tufts of hair sticking out. I live in Ohio and I've never seen one like this. Does anyone have any good links that I can go to to see pictures and identify it? Or does anyone just know what it is?

It is very possible that at a 4H fair i may be required to show a pig. I know nothing about how to show a pig, and have never worked with them.

First question. Do the bigger cats (Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Jaguars) include smaller, even domestic cats as part of their diet? For example, if for some reason a domestic housecat was put into a Lions habitat, what would happen? Would they ignore each other? Would the Lion kill the smaller cat for territorial reasons, but not eat it?

Second Question: Is it possible to completely domesticate a bigger cat? Has it been done before?

They were here for millions of years, so I would think they had pretty long life span. Do they know how long a t rex lived or the larger dino's?

When the killer whale dies in captivity do they just see the body floating or at the bottom of the tank and are like, 'well, another one died; oh no.'

I am having a major issue with bats around my house! The disturbing creatures swoop down in to my pool to skim bugs from off the top. The big problem is that they do this even while we are in the pool! They fly overhead, almost swarming, until they drop down in the water. I am disturbed and my kids are panic stricken. Please help!!!

I got my girlfriend a beautiful fishscale flower pin, but she wont use it because "they had to kill fish to get the scales". This became a long arguement that is still unfinished and one point I want to make is that it's like plucking a feather from a bird or plucking hair from something/somebody(although that is still painful, you don't need to kill to do it). Now wether or not they did that to get the scales isn't the point, it doesn't matter. What I need to know, though, is if the scales are similar to the feathers of a bird. So are the scales the 'skin' or do they have more flesh. If you have anything else I can say to help prove my point, that would also help.
P.S. She's wants to be a vegetarian, so ya, she's really against animal violence and all. Like I told her how humans are meant to eat meat as well as plants, so we are meant to kill, which in other words would say its ok to get the scales. Afterall you could take the scales and then just eat the fish. Thanks for all help

It was found in our bucket of old bird seed. It has the small body of a flea but has 6 tiny thin legs and a long mouth. It looks as though it's a cross between an ant and a fly but has no wings.
