I know it was once a common misconception that wolves mate for life, but that was debunked long ago. Bald eagles are also known to mate for life, but I believe in almost all animals, the need to reproduce and carry on the species pushes them to look for another mate.

Swans mate for life. When one dies, the other stays alone, sometimes they waste away and die.

Penguins mate for life,but if one dies,or if they divorce,one will mate with another.Yes,penguins do divorce.

And the Scalars (angel fish) too... But I don't know what happen after one die.
