Stonefish, lionfish, blue ring octopus can all be considered deadly.

Even rockfish have been known to cause paralysis in susceptible people.

And we all know about Stingrays (Steve Irwin).

As misti says, there is a difference between poisonous and venomous. You can eat a venomous fish but not a poisonous one. Puffer fish are the most common of the poisonous fish and they are a great delicacy in Japan. The licenced fugu cook has to remove the eleven poisonous parts before the fish is fit to eat, even so many people die each year from eating it.

There is another poison that affects reef fish in the tropics such as coral trout and red emperor and that is ciguetera toxin. This is a poison that develops in the flesh after the fish has eaten certain algae at particular times of the year. The poison can make you very ill but it is not fatal as far as I know.

There are many poisonous fish in the ocean. Lion fishes, catfishes, scorpion fishes, weever fishes, toad fishes, surgeon fishes, scats, jacks, rabbit fishes, stargazers, Australian Box Jellyfish, and stone fishes are just a few fish that have poisonous bites or stings. In fact, fish with a venomous bite outnumber all other venomous vertebrates combined!
The vertebrate fish with the most toxic poison is the stone fish, but the most poisonous creature in the ocean is probably the Box jellyfish.

do you mean fish with poison as a defensive weapon? Do you mean fish with poison in their bodies? Fish with venomous bites?
There're a lot of options out there and fish have evolved a lot of different defences. Many fish developed poison spines that keep them from being attacked, like the stonefish and the lionfish. Some fish have poison in their bodies like the pufferfish. Some sea animals (not usually fish though) have venomous bites, like the sea snake, and the blue-ringed octopus. And even more animals have stinging tentacles like jellyfish, fire corals, anemones (all of which are actually in the same phylum)
