I was sitting on my couch watching 'The Last Day of Summer' on Nick when I felt a worm crawling on my ankle. I brought it to my eyes. At first, I was freaked out because I thought I had worms, but I realized it was moving like a caterpiller, and it had many legs.

Description: It was small, 1/2-1 ich. It was clear and skinny.

Location: Southern California, south of LA. I'm not saying exacly where.

you see, it's been raining A LOT where i'm at all of a sudden. for like three weeks straight it's been nothing but clouds, rain, and potential rain. so there's been like a lot of frogs, and mosquitos, flies, crickets, and stuff like that around.
but, just earlier my brother found the strangest and scariest looking thing in our pool. it almost looks like a cocroach, except that it's a lot bigger, green with small black spots, and these creepy pinser-looking things on it's head that almost look like antennas except that they're bent so that it looks like it could pinch something really bad. it's body is oval-shaped and plain and simple it is the scariest thing i have ever seen. i honestly have never seen anything like it. anyone know what it might be??? ...please???

Today we rented a pontoon boat and saw lots of wild Dolohins. Well, of course we fed them when they came up to our boat. Later we found out that you can be charged up to 10,000 dollars for feeding the dolphins. Should I be concerned?

for the salwater junkies anyway,

does anybody use a diatomaceous filter?
how do you think they stand up with other kinds of fine filtration?

also does anybody use a fluidized sand bed?
same questions, and did you buy yours, or make it?

I live in New Jersey and I found a bug that is six legged with 2 antennas and is black with a red dot. Does anyone have any idea what this bug could be? I leave basically in the woods.

Ok. In America off the coasts of most beaches... like Daytona Fl., Panama Fl., and Myrtle Beach Sc.
Once a wave comes up and receeds it leaves behind things that I call 'diggers'. I know that's not the real name but I want to know exactly what they are. They are about 1 cm. long and are triangle shaped. They dig down into the sand after the wave leaves. Their shells are a variety of colors. I guess that they could be classified as a mollosk... They resemble an oyster or clam in the way that their shell is 2 shells tightly connected with an animal that resembles (there's no other way to say it)... snot.
So if anybody had any ideas I'd really appreciate it. This is one of those annoying questions that makes it so I cannot sleep untill I have an answer. Thanks.

Oksy, this little guy was black, 3 sections, with a thick yellow stripe. He was a mean little thing too. About the size of a quarter when he stretched his legs out. I have a picture of him, but it's real fuzzy because my camera isn't all that great with close-ups.

My family was recently bequeathed with our great-uncle's estate and belongings last month. When it came time to organize an auction and sift through his collections we came across what we believe to be 1000 plus pounds of pure ivory from Rhino and Elephant tusk as well as hundreds of stuffed and mounted exotic animals such as Girrafe, Tiger, Leopards, Silver-Back Ape, and Polar Bear. We are not sure the market value on these items or where to sell. Can someone please help?

I'm not talking about natural non-captive hybridization. I'm talking about people purposely hybridizing fish and why you are against this or in favor of it.

On farms, you will see cows. The males are called bulls. But many people generally call the species "cow".

Now, we approach a problem. Many species go by the cow/bull labeling. This includes whales, elephants, seals, moose, and, um... cows?

Here's my question. What is the proper name for the animal that you see on the farms and that you get beef from? Isn't it weird that we call them cows when, really, a cow is just a name for the female form of this species?

P.S. Don't take this question too seriously, because I'm not. I'm just a curious person.
