Not very exciting, but I was sitting near the banks of a lake near my house, and I saw a stream of bubbles emanating from a particular point for about 30 seconds. After a minute, they started again for another 30 seconds. I dug around for a while trying to figure out what it was. I got to the bottom of the lake, and still these bubbles were coming up out of the ground. Any idea what it was?

I am interested in becoming a biologist or naturalist. How can I get started in animal care? It would be useful to have experience working with larger animals before hopefully going to university or college.

I guess I got so used to the fact that dogs are colorblind, I started thinking EVERY animal is colorblind. I'm hoping that isn't true. Specifically I was wondering if Sugar Gliders could see color or not.

We were feeding birds bread and someone approached us and said white bread caused foot deformities in wild birds. I have not been able to verify this.

What is the impact of biodiversity on our environment? As species become more diverse, are effects taking a good or bad turn?

Is the impact different in different kinds of ecosystem? If yes, in what way?

How do you relate the effects of biodiversity in relation to evolution?

Would it be possible to lower the level of the sea by genetically alerting the size of sea creatures such as fish and plankton? What % of the oceans are made up of creatures and would removing them all (rather drastic I know) lower the level of the sea by much?

Why is it that you only see moths when it's dark but they are always trying to find the light! dose that not mean that you should see them in the day when they have found what they are looking for? or during the day do they look for the dark???

Okay...we all know why flies are on dog crap...that's what they do.

But why are bees interested? As far as I know, there's no pollen in dog crap...

Ugh...who's eating honey from THAT hive?
