I thinking in a siege or something. Theres always loads of earthworms.

This sounds perfectly reasonable.

There are probably worms that are high in essential vitamins from eating plants.

There are also a wide variety of worms even if you stick to pure worms and don't branch down into planaria or up into maggots.

I would think there would be some protein but I would also think vitamins would be lacking. You don't want to get rickets and scurvy because all you ate were earthworms.

You need 3 things for survival: water, food and shelter.
Worms are only one part. Unless worms are not toxic to your health and provide enough nutritions, they could be food for your body. You should not try it, though.

there wouldn't be enough nutrients for us, and we would need water.

but boiling earthworms and eating them really IS good for you.
