The Thorny Devil (a species of lizard which is found in dry, arid areas of Australia) does not drink water through its mouth. In fact, it 'drinks' water through its feet due to capillary action. This allows the Thorny Devil to stand still whilst drinking, and thus camouflage into it's environment, and therefore avoiding being detected by predators.
