I've seen photos of poisonous spiders taking out non-venomous snakes, but would the result be similar if the spider was non-venomous? Would a non-poisonous tarantula have a chance against, say, an average sized constrictor?

There appear to be two birds feeding the baby birds in our hanging basket on the front porch. I think they are finches---a male and a female. Does the male stay to help the female take care of the babies? We did see both birds build the nest together.

I woke up early this morning and walked outside around the block. I looked up and I saw literally thousands of birds streaming across the sky from one horizon clear across as far as I could see. They were in almost a defined stripe flying in "step" for lack of a better descriptor. Has anyone ever seen this?

and have a variety of species coming for a variety of foods. It's great to see the young birds coming and eating from the table too. The problem - ( a well, some of you wont see this as a problem), is that now I have Buzzard preying on the birds at my feeder. The question is - am I interfering with nature, attracting so many birds to one area, creating a honeypot for the buzzard, or do I accept that the buzzard has to live too and by feeding garden birds, I am helping their survival.

I really am in a dilema here and wonder what I should do for the best. Interested in your views on this, thanks.

I found a baby toad a mile away from a river in west virginia. It was very small (2cm, under a few grams), after a big rain. Its brown and has a few spots. I was wondering:
1. What to feed it?
2. Can i kept it in a plastic container with soil, water, and plants.
3. Other ways to care for a toad.
